Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Folks, need advice on UKVCAS appointment cancellation process. We booked an appointment in early Jan but then realised we had other plans for then. Is there an easy way to cancel this appointment and re-book? I tried to go through their terms and conditions and it doesn't seem very straightforward -...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Folks, thanks so much for your help so far. We have submitted the application and trying to book an appointment to submit the biometrics and i am amazed to see there are no free appointments? Everything starts from around £130-£150 per appointment... even though i saw on gov.uk before applying that ...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Folks, I hope you don’t mind another quick question. My wife’s employer has changed its name since she started working there. We only realised when we looked at payslips and seen the employer name has changed a while ago. She emailed the HR and they confirmed the company is now officially known unde...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Dear friends Another confusing, but hopefully a quick question. On section about employment details, it asks about start date of employment. My wife’s situation is such that she has worked for the same company/for the same parent company, but worked in different stores/brands within the company over...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Dear friends, Thanks for your help so far. We are making last minute checks to the application before submission - and one of the questions confused me. My wife passed Trinity College B1 test which we used for her ILR. On question about "How did you get your results" we have ticked the "Certificate"...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Thank you AmazonianX,

Can other gurus also share thoughts on my questions above please? Having some more opinions (especially around using the above described certificate of marriage) would be really helpful, as we want to submit my wife's naturalisation application asap.

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Dear friends, thanks for your responses so far, this is really helpful. I have only one lingering issue: Regarding the first point above - the online system does not seem to allow me to put ONLY my original nationality in my wife's application. In section about the partner it clearly states " You mu...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Many thanks for your responses. 1) Are you suggesting we do not indicate in the application her spouse is BC? Is this info not essential though? The system asks, and if we don't say, would it not be regarded as deception or inaccurate/incomplete information, etc.? She has been in the UK for more tha...

Re: Naturalisation for spouse

Thanks for prompt replies.

If one is eligible for naturalisation through both routes (5 year residency as well as spouse of British citizen), is either one of these a more preferable route?

thanks

UK visitor visa for parent and their passport validity

Dear gurus, I am applying for my mother to come visit me in the UK (I gained BC and BP last month through 5 year Tier 2 and then ILR). She has been in the UK twice before, in 2017 (stayed 6 weeks) and in 2019 (stayed 14 weeks). Both times we applied for a 6 months visa and it was granted. This third...

Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

Alterhase58, thank you again! Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

alterhase58, thank you for your advise. Would this a good option - to submit a new declaration without the referee's middle name...

Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

Hi alterhase58, Basically, should I attach a cover letter explaining this or should I just leave things as they are? I have, by the way, asked my friend to sign a new form without his middle name, but would this be considered "deception" if his middle name is not indicated anywhere? I am still confu...

Re: Naturalisation document (cert of birth)

You are free to add additional documents. For peace of mind you could write a covering note explaining what happened, or if you have enough time before your appointment get a new declaration filled and signed. Hi alterhase58, Which option is best? Is attaching a cover letter going to complicate thi...
