Re: FLR (M) FLR (FP) parent route.

Ihi, i had to go through similar circumstances. I am going to explain what i did, and i am sure that will give you an idea on what needs to be done. When we got separated, Firstly, i had an informal agreement with my ex about child custody(staying 2 nights a week with me after school and dropping hi...

Re: Parent or Partner? Grey area decision?

Based on my own experience of changing from spouse visa to parent route. First be sure about whether your relationship has ended or not. If you think it can still be mended and you can get back together then nothing has changed. But if you believe it has ended for good then you should inform ukvi ab...

Re: FLR(FP) parent 10 year route to 5 year route

Don't jump the queue buddy. One can't and shouldn't give advice without knowing some immigration history assuming something, even if question looks simple. Op might have been through various immigration turns! And regarding your advice to the op is clearly wrong! Flr fp doesn't require £18600 income...

Re: FLR(FP) parent 10 year route to 5 year route

What was the reason that they didn't grant you on 5 years parent route in your first application?
Would you mind sharing your immigration background to understand your situation and advise as per that circumstances.

Old brp, do i need to return it?

I have seen few post regarding returning of old brp , if not there is potential £1000 fine. Does this only applies to citizenship matters or our regular visa situation too? I can't see anything on gov website nor my decision letter suggest anything on this matter, i don't know what to do? I would re...

It is highly likely that if your surname is wrong on the visa letter it will be the same on your BRP. The name entry at the start of the application process follows the case on the systems. Rarely are letters populated by manual entry by caseworkers.

But it is wait and see....
Thank you.

Re: FLR (fp) - 10 yrs parent route extension

Normally child maintenance doesn't affect any universal credit. https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/how-child-maintenance-affects-benefits Anyway, you probably can use bank transfer for future evidence for next extension. Its a choice. Solicitors isn't necessarily needed if the case isn't complicat...

Re: FLR (fp) - 10 yrs parent route extension

You said you got separated in 2018 and not living together in a subsisting relationship then definitely she isn't your partner for immigration purpose. (I guess you haven't let the ukvi know about your separation and if that has any impact i am not sure. It wasn't spouse visa so hopefully you are ok...

Yes both of us are on ten years route, after the home office grant me and my child. The other parent made application to home office separately and it was also granted for ten years parent route on the basis of our child, at that time we live separately in different adress. We all live in the same a...

Re: FLR FP 7 Year Child Questions

Switching to 5 years route from 10 years only applies to spouse or parent of British citizens whose initial grant was under flr fp 10 years route .

Therefore, in your case grant under 10 year looks right. And you can not switch to 5 years route.

Re: FLR FP 7 Year Child Questions

I don't know your immigration background. But if you had applied and granted leave under private life( child living in the uk over 7 years as you have mentioned). There is no provision of switching to 5 years route as stated on the guidance.

Isn't the case if you meet all the requirements under parent route except adequate maintenance or English language , you still should get a grant under 10 years route.
