Re: 10 months gap no CSI

The 6 months comes from the amount of time an European can exercise treaty rights and be a ‘jobseeker’ before he/she can be asked to leave the UK due to lack of occupation.

The rule wasn’t enforced by the UK when it was an EU member state but does exist under EU law.

Re: Is CSI required for Non-EEA family member and EEA national applying for citizenship with settled status

I don't know where to start, I woke up this morning with the news on CSI policy change and felt hopeless about the situation. I just now received email from caseworker confirming my citizenship application has been APPROVED :D I thought this might comfort few people who are also in similar situatio...

Re: 10 months gap no CSI

Hello

2 months gap is not much and won’t be a problem. We are taking more of a 6 month gap where there should be requirement for CSI.

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I understand, Simon. Thank you. However I still have some hope the new published requirement won’t apply to those with pending applications. Because most in those cases wouldn’t applied and had all this effort regarding their application started by learning and the first £50 for Lituk test. I assum...

Re: Ccj effect neutralisation

Doubt it. I think it depends how many ccjs and the personal appreciation of the caseworker really. There isn’t precise guidelines on whether debt and ccjs constitutes an indication that the candidate isn’t of good character. Guidelines say that the application should be refused only if there is clea...

Thanks for the reply - so a digital signature would definitely not be accepted?
No.

A digital signature can be remotely faked. You need a handwritten one, like you would do for most official documents.

I know a lot of Europeans already waiting far over a year and get generic replies when they inquire. Many people from all kind of backgrounds waiting. I would appreciate if you would please at least provide the figures. By its nature your reply says that should Europeans have a special priority, sh...

Re: Naturalisation - EU citizen with 45 days of gap between jobs

The latter is my concern as I did not have any sort of Comprehensive Sickness Insurance during this period. I had a private insurance once I started my new job but not during this period. You were between jobs - there was no requirement to have CSI for the 45 days between jobs. CSI (under EEA regul...

Unfortunately the 5 year rule still apply. you cannot be out more than 90 days a year in the five years before you make the appointment plus you need to be in the UK five years before your application on that specific day. They are strict about the rules

Re: UK Citizenship advice for my EU husband with EU Settled status

You don't say why you think he might have needed CSI. I presume that you are worried that he might not have complied with the requirements for EU freedom of movement. From some time in 2006 onwards, once he had been working in the UK (or been the child under 21 in the UK of an EU national who was w...
