Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Frou01, I don't understand what would be the problem of using settled status? In fact, who would even ask for this to be evidenced? I had to let my employer know and I sent them a copy of the letter and link to verify it and that was it. I assume your landlord could ask for a check that you have the...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Is it possible to ask for a private ceremony (that we would pay for) even if I we have not received an invitation to book a ceremony yet?

Re: Out of country / unrestricted COS application: can I start working before the actual visa is issued?

Thanks for the reply. I may have missed something but it thought that cos can be unrestricted if the job is in labour shortage or annual income for the job will be more than 160k gbp? In this instance since I'm already in the UK (on a visitor visa) would it be worth it asking UKVI if I can apply fro...

Re: COVID - CoS expiry and Tier2 General application

Can you guys advise how you proceeded with your application? Did you select India even if you were in the UK so that you could proceed to the next step of the application? Did you add a cover letter in your application to explain the situation?

Re: Application with different passport than for life in the UK test - is this a problem?

Thanks Alterhase58! You have Settled Status, so PR card is not required - you need to select the correct option in the application. When asked "Are you either: An EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a perman...

Re: Application with different passport than for life in the UK test - is this a problem?

Hi Zimba, thanks for the merge and the quick response. 1. Does that mean that I do not need a permanent residence card and the information on the online form is wrong? 2. I am confused, the online form says that I need to provide the original of my passeport? Also If I use settled status and settled...

Application with different passport than for life in the UK test - is this a problem?

Hi All, I am an EU citizen with ILR since April 2019. Will apply for citizenship in April 2020 (ILR + 12 months). I passed both tests (Life in the UK and english) with my old passport which I have lost. I have since a new passport. I have read somewhere that the passport should be the same as the on...
