Hi Rahul,

I showed 5 years of Council Tax bills - 1 for each year. They took all 5 docs. I did have other back up docs like tenancy agreement, letters from Home office /UKBA for my last 2 extensions etc, but I was not asked any of those.

ILR success at Sheffield PEO on 31/5

At the outset I would like to thank the numerous faceless people here not just for the success of my ILR but all the way through my first HSMP application, through to Tier 1 extensions etc. You have been of great help and support in some cases answering specific questions and in some cases me gettin...

I also had a question on this one. I came on an HSMP Visa back in 2008, Had a Tier 1 extension in 2010, now I am applying for my next Tier 1 G extension. Should I fill D1 as no, as my current leave was granted while I was in UK and then go to D5 and answer No and finally just answer D11. Or do I nee...

Tier 1 General Extension + Dependants

My Tier 1 visa is due to expire in Feb 2013. I am planning to apply for an extension next week for myself and then for my wife and kid in December. The idea was to save some cost as applying seperately was costing less than applying together with dependants.(1500+750+750)=3000 vs (1500+561+561) =262...

A quick search on the forum after my earlier post and I think I found the answer to my question. Paragraph 96 in this document I believe is relevant to me. I would be great full though if anybody can confirm that to me. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/statementso...

I'm on Tier1 General and due for my ILR in June 2013. My current leave expires in Feb2013, so I will be going for an extension later this year. My question is as I'll be applying for an extension after July 9, will the new rule for dependent apply? I've been in the UK since Jun 2008 and my wife join...

I will be short by 117 days for my ILR. I wish I had known this when I first came to UK, I might have come in a month earlier and probably saved on 3000£ in fees for an additional extension. I am thinking of now aplying for an earlier extension at least 6 months before my expiry date. I don't care w...

Not sure how much this helps you., but don't you think its a waste of money applying for dependent visa for just 2 months? The expiry date on the dependent visa will be the same as the primary applicant. So your wife will have to also renew her visa when you apply for your renewal. The 7 day rule an...

I am with push_hsmp here, sushdmehta is not being rude. Most people who respond here do it voluntarily and are not paid. If you can't make a little effort and read through the reply, it's difficult getting help.

Unless you don't help yourself, it is not fait to expect others to help you.

I had a pretty straight forward interview at immigration. I was asked if I had job in hand or any interviews lined up. I responded that I didn't have either, although I have a few applications in the pipeline. That's it nothing more. It's good to have your chest xray done and a medical report in han...
