If you switch to skilled worker, it is the second one that applies to you.

Note that on skilled worker, you cannot continue to run your own business. You are only permitted to work PAYE employee for an employer
Thank you very much, CR001. Appreciate it.

Time Period of Tier 1 or skilled worker towards ILR

Hi All, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. I apologize in advance if I have posted in in the wrong forum. I am on a tier 1 Entrepreneur visa and I am in the process of applying for extension. However, I was thinking of switching to skilled worker. I came across two different info...

Re: Urgent request -Job creation

HI Abuhf, Answer to your query is within the email from HO. "Evidence of trading in the form of copies of purchase invoices and/or receipts for the twelve-month period prior to application " If you interpret it, it states invoices or receipts or both. And for the period of twelve-month period before...

Re: Urgent request -Job creation

Hi Abuhf, It would be best to submit any receipts that shows that the business is genuinely trading. It could be invoices or bills under the business name. End of the day, it is our job to prove. Other way to work around would be to go through your business account transactions and submit all those ...

Re: Processing time clarification

Congratulations Yash! Glad to hear your positive outcome.

If you don't mind, could I trouble you to list down the questions you were been asked during the interview please? I understand that you wont remember all but whichever you could recall please? It would be really informative.

Thanks

Processing time clarification

Hi, Just trying to understand the processing timeline. I would really appreciate if someone could help to clarify for me please. I understand the fact that HO would take their time to decide the outcome of the application. However, I would like to understand if the processing time mentioned on the H...

Re: Tier 1 50k route : Complicated situation

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for the reply. I have already established/registered a company and trading as per the immigration rules. Just that I have to fulfill the criteria of having 200k investment and 2 full time jobs.

Thanks once again for sharing your thoughts. I really appreciate it.

Re: Tier 1 50k route : Complicated situation

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for the suggestion. However, since I did not receive the funds from VC, could I invest 200k and extend my visa?

I went through the link you provided. However, in that case the business has to be very unique. It would be challenging to meet the criteria.

Re: Tier 1 50k route : Complicated situation

Hi Zimba,

Thanks for the reply. That means, since the funding is not available through VC firm and that is the reason I have to show 200k investment? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks

Tier 1 50k route : Complicated situation

Hi Everyone, I have a complex situation here and hope to have some advise from the experts please. I came on a 50k investment route using a VC firm 2.5 years ago. It was shown on the document that the funds were to be only provided to me when I reach here. However, when I reached here, I did not sti...

Re: Indian Passport renewal process

Hi Azraa,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I agree with your suggestion. I have an infant as well and travelling all the way there with an infant and specifically in this climate, just worries me. Having said that, I agree with your suggestion.

Re: Indian Passport renewal process

Hi,

Just curious if the applicants need to be present at the time of application at the VFS?
I need to renew passport for my wife and daughter(Minor) expiring in August and December
respectively. Should I just go alone on behalf of them to submit all the necessary documents?

Thanks

Re: Tier 1 50k route : 2 full time requirement

Thanks Marcnath. Home office defines full time as a 30hours working week. So based on 2 employees at 30 hours each, would lead to total of 3120 hours for 12 months. So if scenario one is correct then I need to employ 2 employees. However, my query is, could I employ one person to achieve this 3120 h...

Re: TIER 1 (Entrepreneur) Investment query - Licensing fee

Thanks Marcnath. May I know who would be able to advise on this matter accurately? Unfortunately, not many. The immigration rules and guidance documents do not specify this. Normally that means you have the ability to argue it to your advantage. You can try going to an established solicitor - they ...

Hi Marcnath,

Thanks for the prompt reply. If that is the case, how about the franchisee fee? is it considered an investment as it is not going to the owner as well.
