EU settlement scheme (family member) border control stamp

Hello, I’ve crossed the border twice on my EU settlement residence card. The first time the border control officer said he’s never seen these and wasn’t sure if he should stamp it but decided to do that. Today I was coming in again and got no stamp?.. Anyone knows what the rule is? Should I ask to g...

Hello everybody! Thank you for this support! I am a professional working in the UK for 2 years and I have pre-settled status. My fiancee is Mexican. We visited each other a few times and we want to get married soon. We don't have 2 years of living together. I'm unsure as to how to proceed? My fianc...

BRC under EU settlement scheme never arrived

Hi all, I was hoping maybe someone’s been in a similar situation and could advise? I’ve applied for EU settlement scheme end last year (spouse of an EU citizen, was in the uk on tier 4, never relied on my relationship to apply for a visa before), and got a decision letter on February 25. Never recei...

Re: Non-EU spouse with a 2 years visitor visa, what is the easiest way to stay with my wife?

While this is not the most common route, I know a number of people who got a residence card from a visitor visa from within the UK. I wonder how? Most common example I have in my circle is switching from visitor to RC as a fam member. Worked for a couple of people. Hello Lisa1933, Do you know these...

Re: Non-EU spouse with a 2 years visitor visa, what is the easiest way to stay with my wife?

You can’t move from visits visa to any kind of immigration visa from within the UK. Standard option is to apply from your home country/country where you reside for an immigration type of visa. EU Family permit or EEA family permit (more or less the same). It is only valid for 6 months BUT unlike vi...

https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/refunds You will not get a refund if: your visa application is successful but you do not come to the UK you leave the UK before your visa ends, for example to make a new application you’re told to leave the UK before your visa expires you’re app...

IHS refund when ‘switching’ from Tier 4 to EU settlement

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone knows if it was possible to get an IHS refund for the former Tier 4 holder who is now on the EU settlement scheme?

I’ve paid IHS until end of 2022, so was wondering if there was a way to get anything back at all?

Thank you!

Re: EU settlement - Non EU family member - CoA and decision time

Hi Decado. Thanks for the above clarity. I will need to dig a little bit more on travelling with BRC. Some links I have been reading says that my husband can travel with his BRC as long as he does with me (eu national) https://www.google.com/amp/s/europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/travel/entry-exit/non...

Re: Pre-settled EU citizen, married to non EU international student in UK

It was impossible to verify identity through the app with the BRP (I do have NiNo and have been living in the uk/ working here for a couple of years). Did you receive at any point an error message or warning telling you this was because you were using a Tier 4 BRP? From what you explain, this is on...

Re: Pre-settled EU citizen, married to non EU international student in UK

I apologize for the wording. I meant students cannot use a BRP to verify their identity through the app. Thanks. Can you please elaborate on your comment? Why do you say this? Did you try being a student yourself, with a BRP, and it did not let you go ahead with it? If so, what was the error messag...

Re: Pre-settled EU citizen, married to non EU international student in UK

She needs to apply for the Settlement Scheme, just as you did, including your application number to link her application to yours when requested. She'll likely get Pre-Settled Status, and for this, she will probably only need to upload a scan of your marriage certificate, and if she does not have a...
