Re: include additional depandent while vary an application

I would like to give an update for my application, I eventually decided to not taking the risk of applying for ILR straightaway, because I read that an application will be made invalid if applied duing 3C leave. So I applied for a dependent visa, but only paid half-year of IHS, I wrote a cover lette...

include additional depandent while vary an application

Dear all,

Just a quick question.

I have submitted a tier 2 dependant application for the dependant alone, if we want to vary the application, can we include an additional person in the new variation application?

Re: Finaly confirmation before I proceed to submit the ILR application

Why do you want to pay for two applications? First ILR and then MN1 for the UK born baby (July 2019)? Its your choice but its not needed. You could have registered the child as BC since you had your ILR in Nov 2019 (unless you did not want to register the baby as BC). Both applications might just t...

Oh sorry, the baby was born on July 2019 in the UK and has been granted Chinese passport in the UK (I am aware tha...

Finaly confirmation before I proceed to submit the ILR application

I have asked similar questions recently, and this is what I am going to do, hopefully, someone can share some insight before I proceed, if it is a really high risk I will try to stay on the safe side. I have got my ILR through Tier2 General, my wife will be completing her 5 years on tier 2 dependent...

Re: Eligible and applied for ILR, but Spouse visa expiring soon

It cant be refused as per the official guidance if you follow the correct procedure as stated above. Note: You only get 2 months to submit biometrics. Do NOT apply before 9th Nov to buy maximum time. PS: You have hijacked someone else’s thread. Mods please move the above to relevant thread. Thanks ...

Re: Eligible and applied for ILR, but Spouse visa expiring soon

You will have to attend biometrics for extension application first to make it a valid application before you can vary to ILR. Once you vary before a decision is not made on the previous application, the fee should be refunded. Really appreciated your patience. I have just canceled my extension Visa...

Re: Eligible and applied for ILR, but Spouse visa expiring soon

Calculating the specified continuous period Applicants can submit a settlement application up to 28 days before they would reach the end of the specified period. You must calculate the relevant qualifying period by counting backward from whichever of the following is most beneficial to the applican...

Re: Eligible and applied for ILR, but Spouse visa expiring soon

Seems like you have some understanding of the situation already but why did you not apply for her extension on 9th November 2020 to buy time for biometrics till 9th January 2021?! OR (A) The best approach would have been to apply for her ILR right away on 9th Nov 2020 (before current visa expiry) a...

Eligible and applied for ILR, but Spouse visa expiring soon

The date of application is the date you pay and submit your application online. Biometrics date is irrelevant. Visa expiry is irrelevant as long you applied in time i.e. after you qualify and before visa expiry. Your wife is protected by Section 3C and all her visa specific rights will continue til...

Applying ILR does not need to pay IHS fees
I know, the problem is that we still have one month gap between the current visa expiry date and the qualification date for the ILR application, so got to apply for an new three years visa just to cover the single month, trying to find a work around.

What date was her initial PBS dependent was issued/granted? Her first PBS dependent was issued on 27 January 2016. Re: IHS increase related question

1. Yes. And no, you won't be asked to pay more later. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online 2. Either. If UKVI feel you have paid to little, they will likely wrote to you to pay the shortfall. Just another quick question, hope you don't mind answering until 26th Jan 2021, my wif...

IHS increase related question

Dear All, I have a couple of questions regarding a tier 2 dependent application I am making. Hope you can give me some help. 1. As far as I understand, the fee for IHS has increased from 400 to 624 per year starting from 27 October 2020, does it mean as long as I pay and get the IHS reference number...

Re: Tier2 dependent visa extension minimal period

Yes - Its is possible. You need to write a cover letter to state you will be paying IHS for 1 year only and grant the visa for one year period. But you will need to pay the full Tier 2 Visa fee for 3 years. It doesn't work like that. A 3 year visa extension requires 3 years IHS. This is clearly sta...

Re: Is there a way to avoid multiple visa applications in my case?

2. If the previous solution won't work we will have to apply for a tier2 dependent visa for him, based on the rules, his visa expiry date will be in-line with the mother, therefore expires 2 months before his mother is eligible for ILR, so we have to apply another extension visa for another 3 years...

He only has an entitlement to register as British while under 18. It is not an indefinite period for him to choose.
Yeah I understand that, do you have an idea of which visa we should apply for him?

Re: NEED HELP ON MY SITUATION - APPLY VISA FOR MY SON

Do you not plan on registering the child as British? He doesn't need ilr if you do. Thanks for your reply, as you may know, China doesn't allow dual citizenship, once we register him as British there is no way he can apply for chinese nationality again, however, he can apply British citizenship rel...
