Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

As you can see through the posts, many people received reply from HO that certificates will be printed and posted within weeks. So I assume something will finally move this month, I don't see the point emailing HO because when they start printing certificates again, they will print everyone. So it i...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

I was in touch with my council twice since approval. My most recent answer from last week was that they carried out risk assessment, now waiting for confirmation and looking to restart ceremonies within next few weeks. So to me it looks like each council is doing it at their own pace but whats the m...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Ceremonies fall in line with school category as people meet with others from different households. My guess is when schools fully reopen it is where ceremonies will resume. At the present moment there is no plans to open schools even in September, while is good to have a hope dont hold your breath f...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

Yea i had similar email from my council as well. No chance for virtual ceremony. You will need to be physically present. I can see the right to bring 2 guests to be dropped to help with situation. My guess is, if all schools fully reopen, then ceremonies will resume as it is very similar situation. ...

Re: Naturalisation applications during Coronavirus lockdown

Based on everything I saw from people posting here HO is prioritising Visas but BC apps are also being processed so of course delay will set in. Myself I am waiting 3 weeks now, most people I see got their decision within 4-7 weeks.

Current status of processing citizenship applications

I would like to propose sticky for this thread unless there is already something in this regard so it can be updated by members and keep others informed about ongoing situation. Few days ago I read here somewhere that processing all citizenship applications have been suspended and only Visa applicat...

It's a generic email sent to all. If you have already attended, then a non-issue.
Lets hope so.

What happen was, I went yesterday for my appointment, everything went smooth, picture, fingerprints, signature - all taken, documents scanned and uploaded. Just now I received what it looks like 'belated' email saying t...

This will be tough to prove in my opinion as passport is not stamped when you travel.

Your best bet is to call UKVI citizenship line and ask that question. I asked them to clarify few things to me already.

Employer reference - P60s needed?

I got already a reference letter from employer stating that I work for him for the last well, 'double digit' years.

Do I still need to include P60s?

I only have P60s from 2016-2019 so 4 of them. Will that suffice or the reference letter itself will work?

Thank you

Which forms I should use for referees? - confused

I am doing application online.

The online one is just like a paper version of AN application. And it asks for a lot of details addresses and so on.

However

When you conclude your application it asks you to download 2 forms which only requires signature, full name and date.

Which should I use?

Few general questions

1. I am EU citizen and I have blue ILR card which I made back in 2016 and then in Feb 2019 settled status granted. Can or should I use the blue ILR rather than settlement for the application? From what I read on application they need the blue ILR copy anyway? 2. My letter from employer confirming my...

Correct you upload the documents.
When you have submitted and paid online you will be presented with the options for online booking the UKVCAS appointment where the biometrics are taken. There will be no letter asking you to do biometrics.
Thanks

I know someone who works at Post Office for over 5 years, that person works behind the counter not a cleaner or anything like that.

Would that class as PO official? I asked google but couldn't find proper answer.

Re: No professional referee - would my application be approved without second referee?

I live in this country 15 years and it just happen that I honestly don't know anyone on the list of acceptable professional referees. It's just purely down to my lifestyle. And even if I do, it's someone who I see purely on professional basis once in a month or even less, who don't really have a go...
