Your employer needs to check it directly with the Home Office, in order to properly assign your Certificate of Sponsorship. I still think it is weird that they are outsourcing this query to you, the applicant. Best refer them to the Home Office's dedicated helpline for sponsors: https://www.gov.uk/...
