Re: Northern Ireland Issue-Won't allow me to pay for naturalisation

My Advice would be to upload anything in place of the IRP, possibly a letter saying you don't have a IRP card and explain why and the email you sent. At least with paying the process will continue. If it was only an uploaded document I might try this. Unfortunately you must also enter the number of...

Northern Ireland Issue-Won't allow me to pay for naturalisation

I received my approval on the 10th of February, 2023. The letter directs me to a inisonline to pay. However, the form requires you to enter a IRP/GNIB card number and upload one. I do not have one as I am an applicant from Northern Ireland. I e-mailed citizenshipinfo for guidance nearly three weeks ...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Does anyone know the schedule for citizenship ceremonies? Do you have to attend both dates? Is it 9am-5pm?

It's a good 6 hour drive for me so I'm wondering if it's even possible to drive home afterword.

Re: Likely citizenship denial due to UK Tax Clearance Certificate

You can maybe start with your local citizensadvice I'd say, as they might have successful citizrnship cases, for example. Also, contact an TD? If you can't sort interdepartmental cooperation yourself, it might have to be escalated. Youre not the only one with this issue, see https://www.immigration...

Likely citizenship denial due to UK Tax Clearance Certificate

So I am American, and I've been living in Northern Ireland for 4 years with my Irish citizen spouse. I have a clean immigration record, and no tax owed. Citizenship keep denying my HMRC Tax Certificate stating it is not descriptive enough. I have been back and forth several times with HMRC and the I...

I'm in the same boat. My application was received on April 21st and I've emailed them twice with no luck. I've lost about 200 euro and had to reschedule my flight back home twice now.

Sending Original Documents instead of certified copies?

Hello, I'm about to submit my application for naturalisation any day now. I knew immigrating would be a nightmare with providing documents, so I ordered 5 original marriage certificates and birth certificates from my home(United States) before I moved over. They're stamped and watermarked with the l...

Re: Form 8 Naturalisation form was updated in November

Unfortunately, the HMRC admins through that link suggested 5 different ways to get the equivalent documentation. And none of the ways make any sense(one using a double-taxation treaty, another using a corporation tax document?). I'll probably have to just call them and hope for the best.

Re: Form 8 Naturalisation form was updated in November

So I'm applying from Northern Ireland, and I'm a bit confused by this part: For applicants who reside outside the State, a TCC is required or where this service may not be available by the relevant Revenue authorities then confirmation of tax compliance in the relevant jurisdiction from the Revenue ...

'Three different proofs of residence for each year of residence claimed' Is this inclusive?

Hello, I am planning to apply for naturalisation based on marriage to an Irish citizen, living in Northern Ireland for 3 years. My period of residence will be from February 2018-February 2021. I was wondering if providing three different documents proving proof of residence for 2018, 2019, and 2020 ...

Statutory Declaration timing for naturalization via marriage?

Hello, I was wondering if the Statutory Declaration must be signed after you have made your residency requirement or can you do it the week before and then mail the application off when you have met the residency requirement?
