HCI website states that you have to submit original surrender certificate. As i am applying by post, do you need to send original surrender certificate along with copy of surrender certificate ?

Also I am not sending my cancelled Indian passport copy.

Hi All I have submitted my application for citizenship. Did this through my council who offered National Checking services. Paid £45 for this though but at least peace of mind. I got my 5 year work permit got converted into ILR last year (2009).

When can I now apply for Naturalization/British Passport ?

I was under impression that I should be able to apply in 2010 itself as I was on 5 year work permit.
