Re: correcting details on certificate of registration as British citizen

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've tried sending emails to the addresses you posted, hopefully will get a positive response. The issue is not so much that UKVI is backlogged, it's that I haven't had any notification about the amendment to the certificate. I'm concerned that if it's been over 6 months th...

correcting details on certificate of registration as British citizen

Hi, I applied for British citizenship for my daughter in September 2021 through MN1. We received the certificate of registration in February this year, but I noticed the place of birth was incorrect (my stupid fault, it was my misreading of the instruction on the application form). I immediately sen...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question, but when you apply and send your documents (passport, birth certificate etc) to UK, how can you also bring your passport with you when you go for biometrics?

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Can anyone who has applied with UKF tell me how long it takes to get your documents back (passport, birth certificate etc) after you have sent them off for the application? Thanks

Documents for registering UK citizenship for child born out of wedlock

Hi, I want to register my child for British citizenship and I've read the guidance form for UKF, but I'm a bit unclear on the documents needed. For my child, she would need her passport and birth certificate. And for me, her father, I would only need my birth certificate, is that right? Even though ...

Re: British citizenship for child out of wedlock

Thanks for the reply. My problem is, as I understand it, one of the application materials I need to submit is my passport at the time of my daughter's birth (February 2002). Unfortunately I don't have that any longer. Is there any way around this? Thanks again in advance.

British citizenship for child out of wedlock

Hi, I'm a British citizen by descent (born outside UK, father was British citizen otherwise than by descent). My daughter was born in UK in 2002, her mother is Japanese and we never married so my child took Japanese citizenship. Does she automatically get British citizenship or do I have to register...
