Asking on behalf of a friend. His child was born in Ireland but not entitled to Irish citizen because the child need to complete the 5 years residency requirement before he can apply for Naturalisation. My friend as the father of the child is now a naturalised Irish citizen. Can he apply for Natura...

Re: EU Treaty Rights-EU1A

Hello everyone, I am new here. I submitted my EU1A application through email 18 June 2020. Physical documents would be posted soon to the address instructed by them. I am currently holding Stamp 1A visa and due to Covid 19 I can not renew it. I understand while I am waiting for decision, a temporar...

Re: UK National moving to Ireland with non-eu partner (Brazilian)

Good afternoon, So I currently have dual citizenship British/Brazilian and also live in the UK. Re: Advice - Join Spouse Stamp 4 Application

The above comment is incorrect. US citizens do not need to apply for anything in advance. For OP's fiancee, just be honest when she arrives in Ireland for the first time. Show the immigration officer your plan to get married in Denmark and then come back to live in Ireland. Better have some confirm...

Join spouse is an out of country application. You can't do it in country, so your plan doesn't work.

Whatever about it being inside/outside country application, U.S. Nationals are non-visa required so it doesn't apply in any case.

Re: Asylum process and EU1 application at same time.

You won't get approved as an asylum seeker as you had a wife and children in another EU state and therefoe never had any need for asylum in Ireland. You won't get approved as EUFam because the fact that you chose to apply as an asylum seeker shows you are not in a genuine and subsisting relationshi...

Re: retention of residence non-EU spouse

If your spouse only leaves the State (rather than a divorce or if he passes away) then the Retention provisions of the European Communities (Free Movement of Persons) Regulations 2015 do not apply. Once your husband leaves the State, you must inform INIS as to this. Normally, INIS will respond looki...

Re: I got divorced and stamp 4 problem

Hikke, You will need to inform the Spouse of Irish National Unit ("SINU") that you have separated from your Irish national spouse. Permission to Remain as the spouse of an Irish National is governed largely by the Non-EEA Family Reunification Policy Document, which provides that you must inform INIS...
