Re: ILR application " Convictions and other penalties" SP30

Yes, declare them both.
If they were both FPN's you should be fine. But if you got them through courts, you have to wait for two years from the date of convictions, else ILR will be refused.

Motoring conviction and ESTA

Hi, I have a conviction for a motoring offense from 2018: AC10 Failing to stop after an accident. Its for a really minor scrape of a parked car in parking lot. Later on in 2020, I obtained a police certificate from ACRO as I wanted to apply for a US visa (did not apply in the end due to covid). Poli...

Re: Non-EU ILR holder applying for British passport for my son's passport. Baby born in the UK.

Hi strangersmall, I called HM Passport office at 0300 222 0000 today. I explained to them that my daughter was born after I got ILR and the application form still asks for grandparents documents which I dont have. After quite a while on hold, they said its fine to send just the relevant 1. Applicant...

Hey strangersmall,

I am in the same situation as you.

I am planning to give the passport office a call on Monday. There is no way I can provide them with birth certificates and marriage certificates of our parents.

I will update if I have any info.

Re: Foreseeable future in employer letter

I work as a scientist in university based on fixed term contract, which will end next year. The letter I got from employer said “his employment will continue for the foreseeable future, subject to additional funding.” Will “subject to additional funding” be an issue? Thanks. I too work as a scienti...

Mistake in MN1 form

Hi All, I recently submitted MN1 application for my Son aged 3 to register for BC based on our ILR status. I think I made a mistake in the application form for the following question: 'Are you relying on your parent's permanent residence (either as an EEA National or the family member of an EEA Nati...

Re: Frist entry date and Convictions query on application

I am not a solicitor but have researched on this in the past. This is not a criminal conviction but you need to declare it somewhere so that you are not hiding anything. Declare it as civil penalty. I agree with Cullinan on this. CD10 and CU80 are criminal offences, NOT civil matters. If you plead ...

Re: Question on ILR application

You can apply for a BRP replacement only if its lost or stolen. You can submit your ILR application in the meantime as: a. You dont need documents to submit the application. You upload them later. b. You dont need to send physical documents to UKVI. You just upload a scan, this includes passport and...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi I’ve been checking the timeline thread but it only shows good news there. (They all seem to get a decision in 1-3 working days) I wonder if anyone is in a similar situation like me. I applied set o on 22nd June. Case officer emailed me after a week. I had my biometric appointment on 14th August ...

Applied 25th July, Set(O), submitted docs on UKVCAS same day. Received email about biometric reuse & IDV app last night (previous biometrics given in May 2018). Deadline to opt out of reuse is 10th Aug 5 pm.
I'm planning to opt out.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

We applied in May (ILR Set LR) and got the bio-metric reuse email in July. Had uploaded all the documents on UKVCAS site in May but never "submitted" to UKVI as wanted to wait for the appointment. Now that there is not going to be any bio-metric appointment, when are we supposed to submit the docum...
