Applying For Passport

A question about the spelling of foreign places of birth: In my naturalisation application, I spelled my place of birth as it is spelled in my foreign passport (Praha). This passport was then submitted to UKVCAS who entered the details into the system. Now I got my Naturalisation Certificate that sa...

Re: Entering UK on a foreign passport

Thank you, very helpful. I assumed that in case of double nationals, they should always enter their respective country on the respective passport. I will be receiving the NC next week but wish to travel to the EU for Christmas and am concerned that if I apply for the BP immediately, they may not pro...

Entering UK on a foreign passport

If a person who has received a naturalisation certificate leaves the UK, before applying for the first British passport, can they have difficulties reentering the UK later on their foreign passport? The logic behind this that as a UK citizen one should enter the UK only on a UK passport....

Not sure what you are looking at - no expiration date on the certificate - it's for life. Do you mean the d...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

The approval was on 15 July. What is the point of two invitation letters then? And do you know if the HO one is sent by mail or by email? Yeah, I agree, I don't see any point either. Some councils will do the ceremony without an invitation from the HO. When I mentioned this to my council yesterday,...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

I have received an invitation from the Reading Borough Council for a ceremony in November and will now see if they go ahead or whether they will cancel the November date. One question regarding the "invitation letter". I have received my approval letter from the HO back in July, informing me on the ...
