Re: Patronymic name in UK citizenship application

Hi, with regards to patronymic - my husband did not provide patronymic with his application as it is not translated to English - there was no problems, got his citizenship a few months ago and just got his passport.. Good luck!

Employer letter question

Hi all I wonder if you would be able to help.. I am in the process of applying for ILR with tier 2 visa. My employer letter does not have any information on annual leaves and simply states that I did not have any unauthorised leave . They apparently do not keep a record of annual leaves over 2 years...

Re: Tier-2 dependent visa for UK born baby

You do not need a visa for your baby unless you want to travel and come back. But your baby will be eligible for NHS treatment for only 3 months after birth. So after 3 months you either get a visa or pay for treatment if anything happens (hope not). https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/vis...

Yes, your employer simply reduces your hours pro rata. As long as the pro rata salary meets the SOC salary which is at normal 39 hours pw, no issues.
Ahh such a relief... Thank you so much! You are star!

Re: Urgent query - Part time on Tier2

You can't work part time on tier 2. You must work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Your salary, based on the SOC, can be prorated to the reduced hours. Hi CR001, Thank you so much for your reply. This is what I am planning to do - reduce my hours so I will be working 32 hours per week. If I got you ...

Urgent query - Part time on Tier2

Hi everyone, I am currently on tier2 general visa (SOC 2211) on maternity leave. I was planning to return to work part time and my sponsor says it is absolutely fine as long as my salary stays above 30K. However I am a bit worried as tier 2 guidance says you should earn at least 30K or appropriate s...
