Re: Long Term Residency

You can check here:
http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/inis/pages/lo ... _residency

Not sure if you qualify as some stamps/schemes are excluded.

Looks like takes at least 6 months to get though so why not just renew your current permission and apply for citizenship instead?

Re: IRP Renewal - additional documents requested

When you registered first time you would have needed the letter granting you stamp 4, proof of address etc. They are asking for that same letter now as it outlines the conditions/length of stay etc.

Re: Suspicious Call

Yeah my partner used to get a lot of these mandarin automated call scammers claiming they are from An Post, Chinese Embassy, UPS etc. She still gets them occasionally. They would tell you that you have something to be picked up as soon as possible, and you need to press a certain key to switch to a...

Re: Suspicious Call

Yeah, but how would they know she was issued an IRP the day after? It would indicate they have access to the Garda system which is very concerning...

I have received the letter of a temporary Stamp4
If you already have a letter granting you temporary stamp 4, the visa you came in on shouldn't matter? How can the immigration officer refuse you the temp stamp 4 if INIS has already decided to give you that?

Re: Spouse of Irish national

You seem very knowledgeable about Irish immigration. Do you have any insight about my situation?:

Temporary Stamp 4 Questions

Hi All, Our application was to SOIN. We got our original documents back today together with a letter granting temp stamp 4 for 12 months. - Normally isn't a temp stamp 4 issued and then 12 months later they make a final decision? - Based on the letter it says if we want to renew the permission to at...

Re: Stamp 4 RES6 - SOIN Unit - Spouse of Irish Questions

Thanks, yeah probably better not risking leaving and re-entering. RE temp stamp 4, RES-6 is not needed for anyone within permission they received at the border (apart from C visas). As far as I'm aware, they can go straight to GNIB. Therefore, basically the only ones applying via RES6 (1B here: http...

Re: Permission to reside - FORM RES6 Application - Police clearance cert

Thanks. That's what I thought. Since it sounds like you have some experience with this for yourself or spouse, can I ask you if the applicant is allowed to travel during the period their application is being processed? I know from INIS they return passports after they record them, and they have also...

Permission to reside - FORM RES6 Application - Police clearance cert

Hi,

On form FORM RES6 it asks about the criminal history of the applicant and in the documents checklist it lists 'police clearance certificate' from any country lived in the the past few years.

Is the police clearance certificate for the applicant or the Irish spouse?

Thanks!
