Re: Do referees for naturalization need to be residing in Ireland?

Thanks folks, this is good insight.

You're right on 50% of the staff being Irish but I should've mentioned I'm on engineering and they're on sales, so there's not a huge opportunity to connect. I'll figure it out somehow

Is it possible to remain indefinitely in Ireland without citizenship?

I don't see a lot of resources about what happens if you're unable to obtain citizenship (eg you don't meet the conditions, had traffic violations or just in general can't obtain a second citizenship). Are you able to remain indefinitely? Would you eventually be denied renewal of Stamp 4?

Do referees for naturalization need to be residing in Ireland?

Unfortunately I don't have that many close acquaintances that are residing in Ireland (I work for a multinational where most of the staff in Ireland is immigrants) but I do have some pretty strong work connections with Irish citizens that are living in the US. Would their references count differentl...

Re: Naturalisation After 3 years?

You will have to get a stamp regardless. The naturalization process doesn't entitle you to residency until it goes through.

Oh yeah, I meant specifically that point that was listed as mandatory. This would be assuming all other criteria are met.

Re: RTB Letter

AFAIK they can be retroactively registered if they pay the fine. It's a cheap fine honestly. Hopefully they set things right, pay and get a letter.

Can a homemaker be availed Stamp 5

Hi folks. One of the requirements of the Stamp 5 form states: Please provide at least one of the following [] Evidence from Department of Revenue (P60s, P45s) [] Evidence from Department of Social Protection (Receipt of state benefits, including state pension) Does this mean a person that's not empl...

Re: Is it a cause for concern that my utility bills have slightly different addresses

Thank you! That's the one I've been using mainly. I'll try to correct the rest, but like you said, some must be coming up on a different database and won't be easily fixed

How to check if RTB registration is correct

Hi folks! As part of the new scorecard system, a new requirement seems to be that the tenancy is registered with RTB. I have lease agreements for the years I've lived in Ireland and the property appears to be registered when checking rtb.ie. The only issue is that I can't check whether it's correctl...

Utility Bill Scorecard

Hi folks, 2 small questions regarding the new scorecard approach: 1) Are utility bills with 2 names accepted? 2) I assume so because there's no way of reaching that many points otherwise, but does each individual bill add 10 points? To clarify this question, let's say a person has 6 gas bills and 6 ...

Stamp 1G Renewal

My wife currently has a Stamp 1G and I'm on Stamp 4 post CSWP. My stamp is valid for 2 years and hers is only for 1, so this time she'll have to renew only hers. I didn't find much information online about what documentation is required in this case. I'm thinking of still adding all my documents, in...

What happens when IRP expires?

I'm currently a Stamp 4 holder, ex CSWP holder. My Stamp 4 will be valid for 1.5 years more. My wife has a Stamp 1G (dependent on mine) that expires at the end of this year. We have an opportunity to go work in the US and I'm wondering what'd happen if we take that offer and it ends up going south a...

2 Names on Utility Bill for naturalisation

Citizenship application requirements (p60)

Hey everyone I have a small question regarding citizenship applications: I'm currently living with my spouse who is under a 1G stamp (I have a CSWP myself). She's currently not working (since she's still studying the language plus COVID-19 made it pretty hard). I'm planning on applying for citizensh...

Stamp condition for Spouse of CSWP

Hey everyone

I have a small question regarding Spouses of CSWP. I'm the permit holder and I should be able to upgrade to Stamp 4 next year when my permit is done. My wife is currently under Stamp 1G, so I'm wondering if she'd also be entitled to Stamp 4 or if she'd remain with Stamp 1G

Regarding CSWP and Promotions

Hi folks I was wondering if receiving a promotion at work (and subsequently a title change in seniorship) could affect my application to renew a CSWP Stamp 1 and/or further down the road. I was originally hired as a "Senior Software Engineer" and have since then been promoted to "Software Engineerin...
