Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

The second point to note is that, while I agree every case is different, judging by the timeline thread and this thread it seems at least 80% of cases have 'quick decisions' (7 days or less). We've all forked out the same £2.4k application fee plus whatever other appointment fees UKVI has milked fr...

I along with my husband and four children applied on 19 June. Until today, we have not received an invite to use IDV app. I tried to log in the app but it never works... The new flash update mentions that there were problems with group applications, so maybe that's why. They should send you an invi...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Frustrating wait continues for the IDV invite! IDV invites have almost dried up it seems for the last 3 days. Very few people have reported invites yesterday. UKVCAS has not even posted a new updated explaining the current situation. Are they going to send all the pending invites on the last day (7...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

On the other hand, those who did not opt-out were auto-tagged as requiring manual verification. How about those applicants who were never asked if they want to opt out (August)? It would be so unfair to require us all to go through the longest route with no choice. I still think that submitting bio...

You're not given the option to book an appointment unless you experience issues when using the app
This sounds horrible and I really hope it's not true.
My only hope was to book an appointment as soon as I receive the email and be out of this vicious IDV cycle!

I don't think it contradicts what UKVCAS have said. I think UKVI have a team going through the IDV data, not UKVCAS.

Just to update my timeline for anyone interested. Made application on August 5th, FLR(M) Got email "Introducing the UKVCAS IDV app" with eligibility saying invitation will be sent by 14th September. FB posts suggests Biometric appointment are now available for those who have made payment between 15 - 28 Aug. Someone got a notification email and can see slots open. This is incorrect news ! I applied on 18th August and I can not see any appointments on UKVCAS website. You might be in the re-use ...

I just saw this on one other website, so sharing in case it may be useful: "I just spoke to the home office on the phone, they said that it will take 2-3 weeks after submitting through idv app and if we don't hear back in that timescale, they will escalate your case with the caseworker directly. Still waiting for IDV access. Anyone received invites or access today? I'm very interested to see if they invite August applicants (since yesterday end of July applicants received their invites) or go back to late March ("second batch" theory)... It also seems that IDV is not the quickest way to ge...
