Re: Naturalisation after ILR

Note also that she can only register as british without 12 months on ilr if she is under 18. If she is 18 or older, she has to wait. Yes the child is under 18 so I guess this is fine. We may wait anyway as there is no rush to sort out naturalisation for the child. I will just get it done for myself...

Re: Naturalisation after ILR

The child silt is dependent on your British spouse, not you. You weren't the sponsor for the visa and ilr, your spouse was. If you become British, ilr for the child doesn't just become invalid. Ilr is an independent status, there is no immigration dependency on anyone for those holding ilr. Fantast...

Re: Naturalisation after ILR

Can I apply for citizenship for myself first and then apply for citizenship for my dependent later on? Yes. The child will only qualify for citizenship once you are British anyway. Where is the child's biological father? The child’s biological father lives in a different country and has no parental...

Naturalisation after ILR

Apologies if this has been asked and answered already. I have read many posts but nothing on my specific scenario. I recently got ILR for myself and my dependant child who was NOT born in the U.K. My husband is British (Born in the U.K.). If I apply for naturalisation do I need to do the same for my...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied for ILR on July 1st Set(M) and I have received and email tonight at 10:40pm stating that I did not fall into the biometrics reuse even though my last renewal was in Jan 2018. I do have a 9 year old child so maybe that's why. The email stated that the system was now open for me to book an ...
