Re: Updating record with UKVI - father birth country

No, his and his father’s citizenship is of country 2. His father’s country of birth in country 1, doesn’t entitle my friend or his dad to that country citizenship as country 1 doesn’t recognise nationality by birth.

Thank you! I agree with you! This is what I was trying to explain to him. He’s worried with all the climate nowadays that this minor error might cause him issues in the future. I will pass your opinion to him. Highly appreciated…

Updating record with UKVI - father birth country

Hi, asking for a friend. My friend became a BC, his father was born in 1950s in a border village. When my friend was filling his applications with UKVI he was asked about birth place and country of his father. He provided the correct village name as per his dad passport, but realised he was putting ...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Good analysis of timeline. Has anyone noticed if a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children, 1 of them over 10, another over 13), takes longer than a single applicant to process? I know children registration by discretion will require an EO level caseworker to approve.

Hi, my wife is a dual national (non EEA). I have filled and submitted her BC application, but now I am confused if I answered the name question correctly. Her main nationality name is: First name then Second name. But the additional nationality they don’t have fields for first and second name, so th...

Undeclared FPN in application

Hi, I have submitted my application 6 weeks ago for naturalisation. I had a speeding FPN 5 years ago that I was offered a speeding awareness course to waive the FPN and the points. I attended that and no court challenge. I have not declared this FPN based my readings of other posts. However, I just ...

Re: Second citizenship question

Thank you! If you were me, would you add that as a note at the end of application as additional information to be considered, or not? If so, what note would you put? I have certificate but not passport? Or that it was missed in previous applications by lack of knowledge that citizenship certificate ...

Re: Second citizenship question

Ok, thank you for your advice! I am going then to add the second nationality, but I am thinking not to add anything in the notes related to that so I don't amplify the issue. what do you think experts? Would they require any evidance of the second citizenship? as I said earlier, she doesn't have any...

Second citizenship question

My wife has a second citizenship certificate from another country through ancestry route, but never had the passport or any other official paper from that country. She tried in the past to apply for a passport from that country at a local Embassy but the embassy...

Re: ILR additional clarifications after submitting

It isn't required. Why do want to complicate things when they don't have evidence of another citizenship? Actually, I was going through my T2G visa application when we applied for it 5 years ago. I noticed that the lawyer back then didn't include 2nd citizenship for my family, but in the additional...

Thank you Zimba. Would providing this additional clarification now delay the processing of the application further?

Re: ILR additional clarifications after submitting

Thank you for having me. I have submitted ILR through Tier 2 General for myself and family 4 weeks ago. I have not heard back from Home office. However, I am not sure if I should send the below clarification information: My wife and kids are entitled for a second citizenship by ancestry route. Howe...
