Re: council tax

and an off topic question: I am entitled to 25% discount off the council tax because my wife is a student, before that it was a single occupancy (also 25% discount). It has been a direct debit from the same account for years, always paid on time, however, I don't think I have updated the status to r...

My question is, how do you deal with travel whilst the application is pending? *if* for example my application is approved on 1st April, Do I have to book a ceremony before 1/7, meaning the ceremony itself needs to be done by 1/7 or it co...

First child passport

Hi

I am planning to apply for my son's (2 years old) first child passport using the 1 week service. Does anyone know if he needs to be there himself, or myself or his mum could go on his behalf?

Thank you !

Last minute change in responsible adult for biometrics

Hi, i was planning to attend a biometrics appt with my 2 years old as the responsible adult. Now and due to unexpected health reasons, I maynot be able to attend with him, can his mum go instead with a written confirmation from me? Any input will be appreciated as the appt is this week.

BRP or ILR letter- MN1 form

Hi, I want to submit the MN1 form for my child as soon as possible. I have just received my ILR decision letter by email. Can I use this letter as proof of my settlement rather than wait 7-10 working days for the BRP (this will probably be longer due to the festive period). In the check list, it men...

Re: Submitting a ILR application (Tier 2) with an outdated police registration certificate

No worries. They might tell you off or something :D I am no expert, but never heard of anyone getting a fine for being late in updating the details, especially with appts to update details already very scarce and far into next year ! Good luck

A similar thing happen to a friend of mine once, called the OVRO (Kent) and they were able to accommodate them based on the urgency of the situation, might be worth a try?

Re: ILR SET(LR) and Options

Hi- congrats for your wife’s ILR approval. I am applying in couple of weeks myself for ILR LR. I was just wondering, were you able to find a super priority slot? If so, what time of the day did you log in and find it?

Thanks alot.

Re: Upcoming ILR (LR) application

Thanks Zimba, lots of these are as a result of the checklist generated at the end after the application. I don't think I was using the wrong form...?

Any thoughts on the stamps issue?

Upcoming ILR (LR) application

Hi, I have been getting lots of great advice here, and now I am planning to submit my ILR (LR) application on the 10th of December 2021 (28 days from the 10th anniversary of first entry to the UK- 6th January 2022). I have total absences of 490 days of which a single absence of 140 days. I am planni...

Re: ILR LR dependents FM and MN1

Another question sorry ! If my wife gets her FLR (M) after my ILR based on LR. What happens to my son who is my dependent right now (Tier 2)? I believe he can apply for naturalisation right after my ILR? While he is waiting the 6 months period to hear back, can he travel outside the UK with his T2 d...

Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Thanks Vinny- in the guidance link you sent- it said that they should apply as soon as possible. Is there a defined period or they really need to do it as soon as I receive a decision? i.e. It's best if they don't travel outside the UK with their Tier 2 visas?

Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Hi, I am submitting my ILR (LR) application in 2 weeks and I have a question: My wife and my son are here in the UK with me, on Tier 2 dependent visas, valid until September 2022. If my ILR application is successful, what happens to their Tier 2 visas? Does it say valid until the expiry date or does...

Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Thank you very much Zimba, so just to double check. If I reach the payment stage and I don't find the superpriority fee, and I choose not to pay for the standard service at that moment, and leave it be for a few days, application won't be considered and I can still travel outside the UK freely (curr...

Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Thanks- yes I am aware that if I fully submit the application, then It is now with the HO. I was just wondering to whether filling the form and completing it until the superpriority service availability stage and not paying the £2500+ fee would constitute as a submission or not... No need to take th...
