Re: EU Citizen / Non-EU Spouse

Hi everybody, I post my experience here since my thread has been locked. Today, finally, my visa-required wife (of EU citizen) has been sent an email that her visa is ready to be stamped on her passport! It took only 10 months… a pregnancy is shorter  Anyway I hope everybody else in the same ...

Re: EU Citizen / Non-EU Spouse

Sorry, please see message above. I forgot to quote you. Hi, I am refreshing the updates multiple times a day too! I am not sure it’s allowed to publicly mention solicitors so I am just going to say I am pretty pleased with “immigration solicitors in Dublin”. If you google that you will find them at...

Re: EU Citizen / Non-EU Spouse

To the person in the same situation: Did you know that spouse visas are not processed from the beginning? We thought they are. Numbers on the INIS website are updated every Tuesday, but the embassy told us they had “no ideas what these numbers are”. Good luck to you. X Thank you, I wish good luck t...

Re: EU Citizen / Non-EU Spouse

Hi, I am in a similar situation, with the difference that my wife is stuck abroad while waiting for the visa. We applied for the entry visa in July 2020 and at the start of 2021 we engaged with lawyers to try and speed things up. No luck, Irish immigration is hindering all our efforts to live togeth...

Re: Visa for spouse of EU citizen

Hello, I am just posting to share an update on my situation. As of today, no decision has been taken yet (I have been checking every Tuesday on the visa results page!) - Application submitted July 17 - Application arrived in Dublin on August 27 (almost 6 weeks after) - From date of arrival, almost o...

Thanks for the info. The visa office said they received the application via post on the 27 of August (last Friday). I guess better late than never!

Should I expect results by next week you think?

Re: Visa for spouse of EU citizen

I would say do not expect a reply anytime soon. I am an Irish citizen who is married to a non EU visa required national. Our visa application was received in Dublin in January, we have heard nothing. Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. How do you know that the application was received? We tried...

Visa for spouse of EU citizen

Hello everybody, I am an EU citizen exercising my rights in Ireland since more than 2 years ( always employed, VHI health plan etc. ). I recently got married with non-EU citizen from a visa required European country. My wife applied for a "Join EU spouse type C visa" around July 17th, but the consul...
