Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I was told via live chat today that first time applications from the UK are running 4-6 weeks behind their estimated issue date. I don’t understand what the point of even providing an estimated issue date or average turn around time if they are so far off from reality. It only leads to disappointme...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Well it finally happened. I received my congratulatory email today! Based on the data on the spreadsheet I may have had one of the longest waiting times. FBR application sent: April 2019 Documents received: 20 June 2019 Address confirmation: 10 March 2022 Congratulations email: 28 March 2022 So over...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Some interesting news recently. My documents for FBR were received in June 2019. I was getting increasingly concerned at not hearing anything so a couple months ago I called the FBR number and explained my concern. I was told to relax. Everything is fine and I should hear shortly. As I learned abou...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does it seem like the process is slowing down again? Back in November 2021 it looked like they started to finish the November 2019 submissions, so about 2 years turn-around. But since then I don't even think that they've really moved on to 2020 submissions. I'm February 2020, so I'm hoping they kee...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I don’t find these stats particularly reassuring considering my documents were received June 2019 but I have not heard anything. Based on the conversations I believe I may be the longest in the queue. My fear is that my application is lost in the shuffle. Any advise? After nearly 30 months and heari...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

The high rate of FBR completion for applicants around and after my submission date has me very concerned that my application and documents were simply lost in the shuffle. I received confirmation of receipt of documents on June 20, 2019. Since then no contact. If there is a problem with the applicat...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Fish Fry, I’ve been considering the same thing since my documents were received mid June 2019 and no word. So I’m a little glad to learn I’m not the only one left behind. It appears the web chat is only available for passport services but it might be our best bet. I feel like I’ve patiently waited o...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I am very perplexed by November 2019 applications under review when I’ve heard nothing regarding my mid-June 2019 application. I accepted a couple month deviation but it has clear gone too off track. Am I the only one left behind? Over 18 months and no communication

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I’m still waiting to hear on my June 2019 application. I’m getting very concerned now that August and September applications have received updates. Does anyone else still have a June 2019 or earlier application with no word?

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I am not sure how I feel about this info since I am now over 515 days since my documents were received in June 2019. It is a bit concerning to hear about responses from August 2019 applicants, especially since they are following “strict” process order.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

A while since I've posted my obsessive watching of the stats, partly because I've been on my back with Covid for a few weeks (and having had that experience, have no issue whatsoever with the closure of their processing centre). I guess it's all back to square one now, since there will be at least ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Wow, that is strange. It is starting to seem like they pulled the June -September batch and randomly select from that pile. But good for you!

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I’m disappointed to hear there are still May and June 2019 folks that have not heard anything. My documents were received mid June 2019 also, so I was beginning to get very concerned. Now at least I know I’m not alone. The official 12 -18 month wait is starting to look more like 16+. I am worried th...
