I have been a long time lurker on here but I thought I should make an account for 2 reasons - 1) to explain my own application timeline and 2) to ask for advice for my cousin's application. So for my application: Application Submitted: 30/01/2020 Application Received: 04/03/2020 I never got a docum...
I don;t think this is anything to be concerned with. I can't say with 100% certainty that I received an email days after my actual documents were physically received by the office. However, common sense tells me it would take a few days if not a week for it to be gathered, registered, and then recor...
I feel like this must have been covered by someone already but why is February going so slowly? Was there a massive surge of applicants in February 2020? What are everyones theories? Combination of Brexit kicking in and pre-Covid timing. I saw a 14th Feb get processed. Someone above Dalton? Estimat...

Hi, I completed my online application at the end of Jan 2020 and sent my docs to Dublin at the beginning of Feb, so I should be getting close to hearing from them. I will be going on a remote itinerary for a month starting at the end of April with email access once a week at best. When one receives...

Has anyone had a long gap between submitting their application fee and submitting their documents? I’m just wondering if I should expect to wait from the date of my application or the date the documents were received. Clearly it doesn’t matter either way, they’ll get to it when they get to it, but ...
Today marks 500 days since the FBR received my application in their offices. Our applications were received by FBR on the same date. Mine app was submitted on Sept 25, 2020, and email confirmation of documents received was Oct 7, 2020. Looks like we should be on the same timeline. Best of luck!! :D
Today marks 500 days since the FBR received my application in their offices. Hang in there friend. It's a long process. I'd suggest putting it out of your mind until the end of the year. Good news is things seem to be moving now after so long stalled. Little over 2 years seems to be standard at the...
Is it wishful thinking or do other people agree it does seem to be speeding up again? So close to the 2020 applications now! Both my children’s applications were submitted together and received 02/01/2020. Got the address confirmation email today!! Even has an apology for the delay because of COVID...
Thanks for the information. However, my dad is not an Irish citizen as he was born in the UK to an Irish mother but never applied for citizenship. Hence my issue is can I apply using my Grandmother without my dad registering first on the FBR (so skipping a generation)?? Sorry, If your grandmother w...

Are the FBR offices open?? How are people getting certificates? I'm so confused about the Ireland lockdown and I cant tell if government officers are working again or not.
People seem to be getting added and documents mailed back. Does this mean the offices are open? Does anyone have an update on the status of the FBR offices?
It sounds like Ireland will be transitioning to Level 3 May 10th without flat out saying it will be going into level 3. What the public will be permitted to do come May 10th aligns with the regulations of level 3 as outlined in the "National Framework for living with COVID-19". If this is true then ...
