I have an email from Nepali embassy stating that because she was never a citizen they would no longer issue any paperwork in her name. Pas...

Re: 'Maiden' name showing on certificate

Thanks to both of you for your help. Despite being in the final stages of this process from beginning in 2007 I was still naïve enough to think this would be really easy. Might just change the bank and council tax back to her maiden name to save faffing about - prefer her maiden name anyway. As an a...

Re: 'Maiden' name showing on certificate

Cheers for reply My wife arrived on Nepali Travel documentation as she was a Tibetan Refugee. These are only issued if travelling and valid for a year so there wasn't the option to change her original travel document to show the marriage name. The HO issued her 2 year visa and ILR visa in this name ...

Saving two hunderd pounds is a lot of money but the peace of mind having the visa then and there begrudgingly makes me willing to pay it.

Applying for SET(M) - Travel Document expired

ILR (M) - Glasgow

Wife's FLR (M) is due to expire on 15th August 2010 so looking at booking an appointment between 17th July and expiry. It's too early going by the on-line form but better being too early than late. Is it possible to phone the Glasgow centre directly once they become available? If not has anyone had ...

My fiancee at the time flew in to Heathrow from Nepal so didn't need a TB Cert. However, they did X-Ray her as they did every person in the queue. They found fairly obvious scarring on her lungs because she had severe TB during her teens. All they did was give her a letter telling her to get in touc...

Sorry in case of confusion:

Fiancee visa was attached to the travel doc but the FLR(M) was attached to a Home Office letter basically confirming her entitlement to work.

I took out a loan explicitly to pay for flights/visas/travel document and wedding to my fiancee. Budgeted how it was to be spent and showed it fitted in to my monthly spending in my documents. From your post you'll pass financially without a second look. PS: Lend us a tenner? Xmas party tonight and ...

My fiancee (now wife) came through from Nepal with no TB cert. They did a quick x-ray then, if the lungs have any scarring, give a letter with contact details for the department of hospital most local to you. My Mrs had TB in her late teens so we had to get tests done, got a letter confirming no act...

Could My Tibetan Niece Study A-Levels/Highers in UK

I know overseas students can study degrees (at a huge cost) but can they study A-Levels / Scottish Highers at college? Looking in to my Niece possibly studying hers over here next year. Anyone know what sort of prices colleges would charge because I've looked at a few and can't find anything? Cheers

We have all the correct documents and no change in circumstances since the granting of Fiancee visa (except now being married and my wife has a job offer as a waitress). My only slight concern is that my financ...
