Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Hey! QQ does the loading bar move? Mine is stuck there since I first applied. That bar is to fool us ... for me it moved to 80% and then moved back to 60% and stuck there for last one month. Funny part is - if you do webchat, they will first try to fool you saying that you look at the bar and if yo...

Re: First time passport application

No matter what we say ,it just doesn't change anything. We are not people infront of them, we are just numbers and files .It was our decision to stay in this country and become it's Citizens ,as a whole I enjoyed my time in here .I think everybody here will agree that the citizenship journey was fr...

Re: First time passport application

The question is what we’re they doing before the holiday times or before asking for annual leave?! That now they came up with this nonsense excuse, because staff in every organisation regularly goes on annual leave and management knows how to cover their place until they return. For the whole past ...

Re: First time passport application

Well... the general rule of thumb everywhere is that leaves are taken in such a way that there is no impact on work and someone else can cover for you. Taking annual leaves in the middle of peak season of passport applications(May-July) en-masse should not be an option ! Applicants also have genuine...

Re: First time passport application

Is it 40 working days? To be precise - completed 7 weeks (49 days) since receipt of documents. Working days will be only 34 as 7 weekends and 1 Bank holiday. But honestly these numbers do not matter any more as there is no guaranteed delivery even after 40 working days. One standard sentence from t...

Re: First time passport application

[/quote] thanks again for the reply. I am not mistaking, ii am very aware my country doesn't have a standardised version of birth certs and the texture of paper used, fonts etc depend on the hospital you were born in. Passports are standardised so you can spot a fake by way of comparison but not bir...

Re: First time passport application

I’m applying for the Irish passport with a nationalisation certificate. I sent all the required documents but I haven’t got a passport to send as I have been recognised as a refugee and submitted my original passport to the department of justice back then and never got it back. So would that be a p...

When we send application and they receive documents the status changes to 'processing'. Afterwards there is a queue for registering the docs and then a queue for scannin...

My estimation says that your passport should be printed in next 4 days. Let us see :)
Afraid to say no change as of yet!

Fingers crossed soon
A little bit surprised looking at your timelines... let us wait for another 1-2 days .... i think your status should change to printing.

Re: First time passport application

What is your timeline so far GIGPH? I assume you won't have to wait too much longer if my mum applied April but didn't send her docs in until early June. Her wait was 30 working days from sending the documents. I applied online on 18th June, docs received by them on 22nd June - so if you look at 30...

I got connected to the web chat today just to ask them if they still stick on the 40 business days for first time applications. I thought they were prioritizing applications received up to April 31st (and then the rest will get processed)? I assume they haven't cleared that backlog yet. We are hearing a lot from those who applied in Mar-April when the system was on-hold. No news from people who applied in May/June and alrea...
