Re: Why the wait before clarification attempt?

What did the FOI show for the 3.5 years? Within a month when my application was received, someone confirmed that I meet the residency requirement and there was a checklist on proof of residency. A garda vetting was requested which was received back within a month. Since then there was 1 Garda vetti...

Re: Why the wait before clarification attempt?

The only thing that I cannot understand again and again when this goes through my head, is why on earth would they actually want a backlog? Logically it stops making sense after a while. I'll ask you a counter question: why would they not want a backlog? A backlog only makes sure that their jobs ar...

Re: Why the wait before clarification attempt?

The actual processing time for an application is 12 weeks. How do I know, well most of the applicants who have gone to a solicitor and has sent a letter to the the department has got a decision within 12 weeks. I did it myself. And after I got my certificate I applied for FOI to understand what had...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Can someone please provide the link for document checklist for First time passport application for adults ? I think when you submit the application only then you can see the checklist which is part of the form you'd need to sign, verify by Garda and submit. I had the following to submit: 1. Identif...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

So I'm now a whole month since my estimated Issue date of the 10th Jan and still stuck at 'processing' having read the last few comments I'm wondering if it's worth poking the tiger via webchat or just leaving it and seeing how long it takes to run. A month over the estimated issue date is a signif...

Re: EU Treaty Right

She would need to wait till she gets a temporary permission (which may take a couple of months). Once she has the temporary permission (usually a Stamp 4 card), she will be able to leave Ireland temporarily. You are really helpful. Just one last thing ... before she gets her temporary permission wh...

Thanks Vorona. Yes I know, but my question is after getting my citizenship certificate can I still use my IRP card to re-enter Ireland? That is actually a valid question. I am in the same boat as you. Well maybe a step or 2 ahead as I have applied for my passport and the passport tracker showing th...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony 13th December 2021 Postponed

I am glad its cancelled. I know it makes sense for the government to extract as much money as possible from people but I am not sure if Irish representative in COP will be able to show his/her face after telling them that we ask 4000 people to drive 200 miles on average in mostly diesel/petrol cars ...

Re: Citizenship granted with ceremony December

Sorry, one more question. What did they say about the status of the application before FOI? Just standard template responses, 'continues to be processed', then they started saying 'advanced stage of processing' then they actually went back to 'continues to be processed' and for broad range of reaso...

Re: Citizenship granted with ceremony December

I have received my approval ... finally! Ceremony date is suggested to be on the 13th December. I should be happy but I am not because of the stress that this process has caused. In the end, it took a solicitor who charged crazy money for a letter, which finally resolved all the 'broad range of reas...

Re: E vetting and citizenship application

Which basically means is that 2 civil servants have justified their jobs and future pensions, to which they contribute nothing ... One who actually did the e-vetting (ran my name against a db) and second who viewed it. Possibly another one, who actually look after updating online statuses of the e-v...
