thank you i think i will email them in details and explain what I think happened there and try to attach a scan of both BRPs and they can decided what I should do with that. As long as my naturalisation application is not affected I don't mind the hassle of carrying two BRPs

just an update,

So my lawyer advised me against traveling without my BRP simply because there is no guarantee that applying for a replacement BRP visa would be ready in time for me to fly back. and So i didn't fly and I waited another week and I got my BRP back.
