Re: Slow processing times for British Naturalisation?

You may not read this, but I have only been reading this forum now to see if Verty has finally been approved, and it looked like on another post that you have. Well done!

Re: Nearly 5 months since British citienship application

I was thinking about your situation so I am happy that you have updated us. I also thought that having already dual citizenship, my case would take longer but while my case wasn't the fastest, it was faster than expected. Application to ceremony took 95 days. I didn't receive any post, everything wa...

Re: How do people usually prove they were in the UK on a given date?

I would assume, every time I enter the UK, that in order to pass through the e-gates, my passport is scanned and a visual confirmation that I am the bearer of the passport is completed. When you have merely a national identity card or a paper card, such as the Italian paper card which is being curre...

Re: Citizenship Ceremony cancelled due to Covid-19

RE: Croydon Council

I received the email from the Home Office regarding my citizenship ceremony and called the council. They haven't yet received anything yet about me from the Home Office but they did say there wasn't any wait. Hope this helps!

Re: Slow processing times for British Naturalisation?

Thank you Alter Hase for your response and I am interested to learn where you got this information from, because it would technically be a change in the details of her application. Basing it on this information, I would think that one should not apply for EUSS after one has formally applied for citi...

Re: Permanent residence card vs EU settled status for naturalisation

I know and in your case, it's pretty clear that you just need to apply with your Settled Status but also you need to provide the documentation of your DCPR. I am sure the HO staff are used to a lot of people applying with recently acquired Settled Status along with their DCPR which has been dated ma...

Re: Permanent residence card vs EU settled status for naturalisation

Since you qualify, you shouldn't have any issues and I want to just stress to not forget to add a scan of your DCPR. They will see the date there and you should be fine. It won't hurt also to just write a note about it and include that in your document submission. I think they are used to such appli...

Re: Permanent residence card vs EU settled status for naturalisation

Can you provide a screenshot of this page you're talking about? The additional paperwork that you can upload, like your bank statements, will be with SOPRA STERIA. Can you answer yes to the following questions? - Obtained DCPR prior to 2 April 2020? - Have you lived in the UK for at least one year o...

Re: Slow processing times for British Naturalisation?

Ciao! I just wanted to give you a bit of hope. I noticed on your naturalisation that you were also a dual national (EU/Italy plus a third-party country) like myself. I applied in January, got the biometrics done in February, and got my email that my successful application a few weeks ago. I am a bit...

Re: Permanent residence card vs EU settled status for naturalisation

Hi! Long time lurker, first time poster and I will add to the Naturalisation thread after my ceremony. I received an email of approval a few weeks ago. I think you may be mistaken that you can have both Settled Status and Permanent Residence simultaneously. As an EU national, Permanent Residency was...
