Both the one year and the three/five year period calculations count backwards from the date of submission.

Preceding 12 month calculation

Hi again, I am in the process of completing my Naturalisation application by the end of this month. Would the preceding 12 month calculation for >90 days absence be calculated from the date of submission or is this in any year preceding the application? The reason I ask is I was stranded in India Ja...

Re: Set M timeline consistency

Yes, it's all based on standard Set M timelines. I got tired of calculating the latest in my head each time someone posted so I made a script to show date of application, date of biometric submission and date of decision from users' posts. It calculates the time between the events, then average and...

Thanks for the replies, highly appreciated. My current employer wants me to serve my entire notice period. Re: Set M timeline consistency

The average time taken from submission of application over the past two months for standard Set M, based on the timelines, is 5 months, 11 days. From time of submission of biometrics, the average has been 4 months, 21 days, but it seems to be based on time of application rather than biometrics, bec...

Re: Work and UK VISA language level needed

Hi Sachin, It’s absolutely your wife’s choice at the end of the day. I didn’t see IELTS coming handy in any jobs I applied (unless used towards professional registration-e.g Nurses)- I worked as Support worker/Teaching assistant - I’m a teacher by profession and do not hold a qualified teacher statu...

Re: consultants letter for medical conditions

Please note that your circumstances may be different from mine. The reason we had to attach consultant letters was to support and evidence how I also had a caring role to play due to his disabilities( one of the reasons I will not be able to leave family), so your circumstances might be entirely dif...

Hi was the letters you sent from the consultant to you or from consultant to your gp??
Many thanks
In my husbands case it was addressed to my GP but copied to my husband. Not sure if that matters. Maybe one of the mods might clarify? We receive all the letters after a consultation.
Thanks

Hi tintin1974,
My husband has medical issues too and we attached consultant letters(which also had a medical summary listing his conditions). I feel this should be ok. We are awaiting decision on my Set M spouse ILR application.
Best wishes with your application.
