Thanks so much for prompt and kind advise.I did look up the links much appreciated when he was initially granted stamp 4 all convictions were disclosed and they granted him stamp 4 so Its not the case that the department is not aware of them. Thanks littler. It's just the standard 2 week paternity and then 5 weeks with in the two year period of child's birth after searching online and our own presumption was that every working parent in Ireland gets it even if you are not an Irish national and like in my husband's case he has stamp 4.Don...

Paternity leave and parents leave effect on citizenship application ?

Hi all would any one have an idea as to a person on stamp 4 to get parents leave benefit and paternity benefit will it effect citizen application in future negatively ?

@heinzketchup just a letter from your partner outlining your relationship with them and child and role you play in childs life emotional and financial since their birth and get it stamped and signed by any oath commissioner / most solicitors will do it for a tenner . And that's that hope it helps .

@shade 90 yes you need visa to travel in Europe as it's probably stated in your letter and even if not clarified normally all stamp 4 holders based on IBC require visa for EU travel.

Thanks once again littler we might apply for his citizenship next year or when ever this covid situation relaxes a little bit. Thanks so much for your reply littler it's just the fact that we had our son first and got married later that's why his initial stamp was granted on basis of Irish citizen child don't have a clue as to if someone has a stamp 4 based on parent of Irish child can they even later change it to spouse of...
