Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Since I can't edit my previous updates, here's one more post to conclude this rather unusual saga: USPS did have my passport. Instead of keeping our mail at the post office per request, they delivered it tonight at around 7:40pm PST, along with half (?) of our letters from the last 9-10 days....

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

Also, as far as the signature requirement goes, I remember that being explicitly mentioned when my FBR certificate was shipped. Found it waiting by our front door. So I'm not sure what's going on anymore (could be pandemic-related), but it seems like signature requests aren't really being honored he...

Re: Ireland - First time passport applications timelines -2021

I believe I read somewhere that it has to be signed for. I suspect it may be sitting at your local post office? Went to the post office first thing before getting home, because I assumed it might be being held with our regular mail, as officially requested before Thanksgiving. Joke was on us - they...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi everyone! I have no news on my own application - for anyone who did not see my post a couple of months ago, I received confirmation of my documents being received on October 3rd 2019 - so I've now surpassed two years. Here's hoping the journey isn't much longer. :| I'm writing to ask if anyone's...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

For the record I would like to apologise to everyone for how I carried on before. I was really stupid, worrying about my job in Luxembourg and not being able to live in my cottage in Brittany. Ever since I owned it I have never spent more than 90 days there so it is not a huge issue. As for working...

You go not to Number 80, but to Number 79 next door and was just going to ring the buzzer and expect someone to tell me to go away - but oh no, t...

Yes----once it gets in the US postal system then Informed Delivery will show a package will be delivered. It has the Irish tracking number but you can plug that number into the track my package search to get where/when it's been scanned. Mine was accepted in Dublin on Aug 14th 2021/Aug 18th in USA/...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

The timelines here still make absolutely no sense. Why has anyone with a November ‘19 submission been congratulated already (barring pregnancy), while October submissions are waiting for address confirmation? These all seem to be straightforward cases, where no clarification was needed. Why did I (a...
