Re: Schengen visa for childrens

>I'm assuming that your spouse is still Indian. In that case, you can use her details and submit yours along side it. Yes, she is Indian, and I have filled her details in the Parent 2 section. Should I include only a single parent option (which is my wife), or if I have to declare my details, then I...

Re: Schengen visa for childrens

I have double-checked, and it is also not showing options for countries like the UK, USA, and UAE when I look at countries starting with "U".

I have tried calling the French consulate in London; however, I received no help as they were speaking in French.

Schengen visa for childrens

Hi, I am a UK citizen (naturalized in 2023). I am applying for a Schengen visa through France for my Indian children (holding Indian passports). When I am filling in the parent or guardian details, it is not showing the option for UK nationality, so I am unable to select my UK nationality. Next to t...

Re: Renunciation Certificate mandatory for OCI application?

As someone mentioned in the post, we can't always rely on the words or emails from officials, because it seems like many Indian officials aren't entirely clear on the rules and they go with their assumptions. If you take a look at the link below, you'll find the official definition of citizenship. h...

Re: Renunciation Certificate mandatory for OCI application?

Looks like that is true as per section 8 of the India Citizenship Act. This is really mad 8. Renunciation of citizenship.―(1) If any citizen of India of full age and capacity, 1 ***, makes in the prescribed manner a declaration renouncing his Indian Citizenship, the declaration shall be registered b...

Re: Renunciation Certificate mandatory for OCI application?

😑 Disgusting, to say the least! 😑 🌐 I've been at it since morning, a full day gone, switching between 3 different web browsers 🌐, all in a futile attempt to complete a simple form. 😫 😀 Sometimes, hitting that "Submit" button feels like talking to a brick wall - it just doesn't work. 😀 🚫 Ot...

Re: Renunciation Certificate mandatory for OCI application?

I applied for an OCI card on 4th September 2023 with a surrender certificate and no one at the kiosk/desk informed me renunciation certificate would be required. Yesterday, I received an email asking me to submit the renunciation certificate until then application would be pending. This is utterly r...

28 days rule for British citizenship?

Hi,

I got my ILR on 14th Feb 2022. Can I apply in 28 days before 14th Feb 2023 for my BC application process?

I saw a similar query posted back in 2013, so just enquiring again to see if something has been changed by now.

Thanks

From your answer I assume that this is not the case. 2) if me and my wife both are having ILR and living in UK. can I apply the ILR application(settlement) from o...
