Re: British Passport Process for New Born with Parents on IL

Hi All,

Could someone please be kind enough to confirm this procedure? I am not looking for a lengthy reply. Only a few words to confirm if everything is OK will be enough.

Thanks,
N

Hi, My wife is Pregnant and is due in Aug. We want to call her mother (my mother-in-law) for support as I am on a mobile job which requires a lot of travel. We both are on ILR. My wife does not work. Hi,

Yeah that's what I think mate. I need to put in 04-02-2009. I have no clue why such a reputed and experienced solicitor is making a mistake here.

Can anybody else confirm the same as well please? I just want to gain some more confidence.

Regards,
N

ILR Form - 6.1 - First Entry to UK

Hi All, Hope everyone is well. I'll be very shortly going to Home Office with my ILR Application. I just have a quick question. In ILR Application form, 6.1, below is mentioned: 'When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the begi...

Update

It is very debatable indeed. I actually posted this to cover up my other case of Liability Order. I thought that if Criminal Record part only relates to "other out of court disposal", then I might be in a trouble. I know that Order was issued in 2010 but Case Worker might argue that payment was made...

How to Read This Law

Hi, I have a confusion reading below law: 322 wrote: (1C) where the person is seeking indefinite leave to enter or remain: (iv) they have, within the 24 months preceding the date of the application, been convicted of or admitted an offence for which they have received a non-custodial sentence or oth...

Thanks again Amber. So I think I do not fall in to criteria mentioned in following thread: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=120784 And as I understand, I do not need to wait for 2 years now. I can straight away go with my application in the end of October. Needless to say that I'll b...

Update

Hi Amber, Thanks for a reply. I just talked to Council over phone and the lady there said she believed that Liability Order is just a Summons and it is neither Criminal Conviction or Civil Judgement - though she was not 100% sure. I am not sure what I should do at this stage but I'd welcome any furt...

I found below case which is similar to mine except that the applicant applied for ILR (and got ILR approved) after around 1.5 years of paying council tax. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=789777&sid=4b68634f1024e98f903e953be1b73294 I also found below from Case Worker Instructions PDF...

Urgent - Old Court Case

Hi, This is may be saddest day of my life! I just got a notice from a council where I rented a flat in 2009. The notice says I did not pay some due council tax at that time and they went to court in 2010 and court issued a fine in March 2010. I really have no memory of what might have happened in 20...

Hi, Thanks for the confidence shown. However, I have no clue what do I mention in "Absences -> Reason" section while filling in application form. Should I just select "other" and write a personal letter stating that I am below 180 days rule and the absence in 2009 was for some reason? But what reaso...

You don't need to worry at all! 1. You can calculate 28 days backwards from 1 Dec and post your application within those 28 days. That will be perfectly fine. 2. You have entered UK within 90 days of Entry Clearance so no issues at all. You can post your applications as mentioned in point above. 3. ...

Once Again - Unpaid Leave Absences

Hi, Can we not make this one a sticky note? This one is a kind of real tension and very scary. I think I posted same kind of question a couple of months ago and people were divided. I hope people have more experience by now and have learnt based on new ILR Approvals/Refusals and can help me. And thi...

Hey

Gulp! I think I am completely shattered! I saw below article which says I have actually broken my continous leave in UK by going out of country while not in employment. https://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=821653&sid=a237e312e3d0f05021468eed4060c239 Is this really true? Employment History and Absences

Hi All, Hope everyone is good. I have two points to dicuss: ## Employment History ## I am on TIER-1 General. Date of first Visa Issue - 19/11/2008. Date of Entry - 4/2/2009. So it is a GAP of 77 days which is within 90 days and hence allows me to apply 28 days before 19/11/2013. Please correct me if...

ILR and Dependant's Stay outside UK over Five Years

Hi All, A quick question. I am on TIER-1 General right now with my wife as my dependant. I know that I have a "virtual limit" of 180 days to stay out of UK (holidays etc...) for over a period of 5 years to apply for my ILR. But I would like to know if it is same for my wife as well or could she live...

Do I need Police Registration Certificate?

Hi Everyone,

This is something absurd. I am applying for Tier-1 Extension very soon. Do I need Police Registration certificate? Please reply as soon as possible. And how can I get one if I do need it?

Thanks,
