Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.

You guys are great. Really appreciate your help.

One more thing if I may; do you know if it is necessary to take the 'Life in the UK test again?'

Thank you!

Couple of questions.

Hello, Just a couple of questions: does an applicant's passport need to be valid for a certain time when applying for naturalization? What if a passport is expiring in a month, for example? The other question is: In the application there is this question: At any time have you ever had any of the fol...

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Thank you for the reply.

Upon checking, it turned out that the image my wife sent me was not complete. So, once she looked into it, the details we were looking for were on the border of the payslip, which didn't show up on the first scan.

Thanks a lot, though. Much appreciated ;-)

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Wow!

That was a quick reply.

Thanks for the info.

I was just reading the application, and it reads: 'Tax Office Reference Number.'

I will check the payslips again with the info you gave me and see if I recognize anything in the format that you mentioned.

Thank you!

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Bugging you once again... Not sure if this is something you'd know about, but I figured I'd ask anyway. In the application there is this question regarding employment, and it asks for the 'tax reference number.' I looked online and apparently, this number is usually 10-digits long. I've looked at my...

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Yet again, one more question, just to make sure: If we were to apply for British citizenship along with my wife and daughter. Can we 'use' the same referee for the three of us? In other words; can one of the persons that will act as referee, endorse all three applicants? (in which case we'd write th...

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Hello again, I've got another inquiry about this same question. So... the application asks next: 'Name in which you made the application:' In this case, I suppose the last application would have been the application we made when we applied for ILR. However, that was a unique application for the thre...

Re: Unsure about question in applicaiton

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Ok. I see. I will review my answer. Also, I came across another question I found confusing: "Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?" So... does this refer to previous applications for Citizenship? Should the application for ILR be in...

Unsure about question in applicaiton

Hello, I'm putting together the application for Citizenship for my wife, and I came a cross this question that I'm kind of unsure about: "Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?" So, we have two daughters, and neither of them will be appling at the same time as my wife, but th...

Re: Spouse applying first

Hello, Thanks a lot for your reply and information. Much appreciated. Good to know that you can actually travel while your application is in process. I wrongly assumed that you couldn't (actually I thought you wouldn't even have passport available during that time). So, thanks for the info ;-) Best ...

Spouse applying first

Hello, We are a family of latin americans; husband, wife, and two daughters. We all currently hold ILR, with the exception of our youngest daughter who's already registered as British citizen. This is my question; when applying for British citizenship: can we apply at different times? and, Is there ...

Re: Nationality of child born in the UK

It was substantially quicker than we were expecting it to be. I recall that when I finished filling out th...

Re: Nationality of child born in the UK

Hey, Thank you for your replies. So, yes, we are not planning to travel outside of the UK with my daughter before applying for her British Citizenship. The only doubt was if, by virtue of getting her a Mexican passport first, she would need a visa. Which, from your replies, I understand the answer i...

Re: Nationality of child born in the UK

Thank you. That makes sense. I will definitively try post how it all went once it's all done (God first). One more question; just to confirm, if I register my daughter as Mexican at the Mexican consulate and get a Mexican passport. That doesn't mean she would suddenly need a visa right? We could sti...

Re: Nationality of child born in the UK

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I do appreciate it.

It didn't even cross my mind to check the details of how Mexican nationality is acquired. That was very helpful. Indeed, I guess 'Mexico' should be the best option to choose.

Let's see how that goes.

Thanks a lot.

Nationality of child born in the UK

Re: 'Identity Document' for Child born in the UK

Thank you for your replies.

Indeed. The way it is written implies that it is only in case an ID/passport is available.

Someone also suggested we could try to use the vaccination book if they ask us for the ID.

We shall see.

'Identity Document' for Child born in the UK

Hello, I am about to complete the application to register my daughter as UK Citizen. She is 5 yrs old. My question is this: in the list of documents that we're meant to submit, there is one that reads as follows: "If (the applicant) has a passport then provide this with your application. If (the app...

Registration of Child born before ILR

Hello, I have a query regarding the registration of my daughter for citizenship. She was born before me and my wife got ILR, which we both now have. I was filling out the application form, but I came across the following two questions, which I'm not sure how to answer: a) 'Have you lived at your cur...

Question;

Does anyone know what the 'normal' or average time to receive results for an ILR application is?

Thank you.
