Re: E-Vetting Invitation & E-Vetting Process

A consolation in the fact that the Courts and Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2022 was signed yesterday by President Higgins, therefore the Bill is now enacted.

It looks like there is a future final step, i.e. signing of the bill by the President.

https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/bills/bill/2022/84/

The following page shows which legislations the President signs for 2023.

Re: Passport taken off at the Citizenship Ceremony

Hi, I've attended the Citizenship Ceremony last Tuesday and realized later that they had taken my passport off me, just wondering if that's standard or if others still have their passports. My second question if anyone knows is how long does it usually take for the Citizenship Certificate to be sen...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Can anyone shed some light for the 12pm registration time please? I had started a different topic, but I was locked by the mod - who, by the way, assumed that the ceremony starts at 12pm, where indeed, it is the registration that does. Hence my question, as to whether arriving at 12:15pm for the 1pm...

Re: Rental Agreement for Dependent visa

Is there any way that you can get a sworn affidavit done, either from you explaining the sublet situation with attachment of the monthly payments, or from the individual who sublet the place to you, with attachment(s) the proof of receipt of payment from yourself?

Killarney 15th of June

Hi all,

for anyone who has ever been in this citizenship ceremony before in Killarney, when they say 12pm, do they mean that you could arrive at the convention centre at say 12:15pm, or do they shut the doors, or what?

Re: Irish Citizenship application - Traffic offences

I would amend the mistake as soon as I spotted it, which in this case would mean perhaps sending a registered letter of explanation, as well as a certified copy of the proof of payment of the fine, whilst saying that you can send the original as soon as you have an application number so as it doesnt...

Rental Agreement - Scorecard etc.

Hi all, What happens if your name is on the rental agreement, but the payment comes from another bank account and, you do not contribute financially to this rent per month? Is the rental agreement then taken under consideration? RTB letters were also issued and included in the application. Thank you!

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

Again I think that this is a straightforward issue. INIS most probably has a conveyor belt for the applications, some will take longer than others to go through the steps. Some will wait longer for an acknowledgment, some others for e-vetting, others for the approval, and finally others for the cere...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

I think that the situation is straightforward. If anybody, regardless of whether s/he received this email invitation for the 10th March 2023 ceremony, believes that this email / invitation is not valid then s/he has the choice to contact directly the Department of Justice and ask. I do not believe t...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I am not sure if the timeline given by the department are actually followed. My vetting invitation states that the file will be submitted to the minister in the next 12 weeks after doing background checks. Not sure if this is a generic letter that's given to everyone else or just mine. I think that...

Re: Dec 2022 ceremony to and from

No person under 18 will be expected, although they don’t really check ID’s for guests, so teenagers are usually fine. Every applicant can bring only 1 guest, and applicants and guests sit in two areas, so there won’t be any seats available for kids as they cannot be separated from their parents. Ma...

You can bring a guest with you to the ceremony. No kids but elder ones are allowed.
Is this written in their invitation to the ceremony?
