Re: Passport Card Travel

Hi,

If I travel to the USA with a NON-EU passport and when arriving at LHR - Can I show my Irish passport card to UK border control - Is this ok?

I assumed E-Gates are still not able to use an Irish Passport card.

Thanks

Form 5

Hi, My partner got a job in the USA and I am following him. Do I need to complete form 5? If I don't will they find out? I am not sure how long abroad I will be staying. I guess I will have to see how it turned out first over there. Any advice? After naturalized are we allowed to work/live abroad? A...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I think it's waste of time trying to get hold of them It was useful chatting with them, from my experience. I was told my application was at the end of the process, that my passport would be printed soon given how far along my application was processed, and that they didn't need my original passpor...

Re: Citizenship Cert with no passport

1. Yes Ireland (and the UK) does not have any legal requirement with regards to having a valid ID for Irish and UK nationals. You can live in both countries as long as you have valid proofs that you are an Irish citizen. Naturalisation certificate is a valid proof. 2. It depends on your other natio...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I paid online on 30/04 and posted the documents on 03/05 and confirmed received on 04/05.

The tracker still shows documents not received. How long does it take to get this updated?

I called the customer service bloody useless. They cannot confirm anything and ask me to wait.

Re: Is it second stage letter?

That is the first letter aka acknowledgment letter. Applicant should already or soon should get eVetting letter. After eVetting is done and viewed give it few months and you should get the decision. I don’t think there is second letter anymore. It’s in the order of: acknowledgement, eVetting, pay t...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Do they just send one cert once a week? So far only seen 2 certs received in April.

It is not like they have so many approvals letters sent out, why they are still so slow in sending the certs out.

It is so frustrating dealing with them. Cannot wait to get this over with.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Did you try to chase for your cert? Write in perhaps? When did you get approved and pais the fees? Hi Shelter, Try to write to them by post? They may have sent it to you, maybe it was lost in the post. Does anyone else have the same issue as Shelter? I did write to them same copy and paste emails.....

Hi Guys, Thanks for your views. Just checked with my employer and say hypothetically if he has agreed to increase my salary to 64K p.a and say I could be able to produce an offer letter for 64K. Then is it wiser to appeal the application with a new offer letter or to start a new application? Also, ...
