Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Now I have a passport issue that I bet might be common to a few others in the forum. I have a 'Mc' surname, and so I have two capital letters in my name like 'McCarthy'. In my current US passport it's written with a space like 'MC CARTHY' since it's all caps, but after I just filled out the passport...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does anyone know how long it usually takes between the confirmation of address email and the processed/printed cert email? I had a look at the FBR Timelines google sheet. According to the sheet, the average time is 11 days. Most are received within a month, although there are some at 2+ months. The...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does anyone know how long it usually takes between the confirmation of address email and the processed/printed cert email? I'm a Feb 2020 applicant, and I finally received the confirmation of address email July 26th. I responded the next day confirming my address was correct, but since then nothing....

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Have many February 2020 applicants started hearing back yet? It seems like we've been stuck in January 2020 for months

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Is it wishful thinking or do other people agree it does seem to be speeding up again? So close to the 2020 applications now! Both my children’s applications were submitted together and received 02/01/2020. Got the address confirmation email today!! Even has an apology for the delay because of COVID...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Application: 17/10/2020 Documents received: 018/12/2020 ....and the rest we'll see! Glad to see I'm not the only one who's kept this tab open for a year. My application through my maternal Grandmother was pretty straightforward, other than having to order a new birth certificate from GRONI. Anticip...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Exciting to see the update from noncomjd - wife in the google doc. From what I can see the first of the 2019 February submissions that have been fully completed. Would suggest processing times of around 24 months. Did you mean February 2020 submissions? I'm Feb 2020 and coming up on 24 months short...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Does it seem like the process is slowing down again? Back in November 2021 it looked like they started to finish the November 2019 submissions, so about 2 years turn-around. But since then I don't even think that they've really moved on to 2020 submissions. I'm February 2020, so I'm hoping they keep...
