If after 6 month you have not received no correspondance from UKBA you can contact your local MP by writing a letter to him/her providing all the info and asking to contact UKBA on your behalf. It means with no time limit on ur visa, so ILR/BC or PR... So once my husband as ILR, I can answer "No" to all those "Are you under Immigration Control" questions.. YAY!!
