This may mean a visa is necessary to visit their home country if dual citizenship isn't possible.

Why would they then want to apply for Citizenship? Why bother paying for that?

Am I correct in thinking that a British national and a non EEA national can get married, wait 2 years then take a 'life in the UK test' and pay 750 for the non EEa's ILR, whereas a non EEA national and an EU national get married, apply for EEA2 then after five years, EEA4, and get if all for free ...

Polish Embassy

I know a foreign national who needs a visa for Poland for a wedding. The Polish embassy website says "application (sic) may be submitted personally or by a member of a family" Now this seems highly ambiguous. If it said 'member of family' then I would take that to mean my own family. Does anyone ...

Thank you for your help. I may quote the Chinese Embassy website to them which says "Chinese Embassies or Consulates do not notarize or authenticate documents executed in China".

My wife has a ILR visa and we live in the UK. The French embassy website states:

"If your Marriage Certificate has been issued outside the European Union, it must be stamped by the Foreign Office of the issuing country, or its Embassy in the UK."
