Re: The gap in the residency caused by INIS.

I had a gap of nearly 6 months in my last year, due to delay in getting my home country passport renewed due to Covid (as was renewing just when the pandemic started) and then IRP taking a few months to renew. I wrote a cover letter explaining the reason and it didn't cause any issue as I got my app...

Re: Status of invitations for 2022 December Ceremony

Re: Returning to Ireland with IRP after receiving approval?

Just to add to the above. I got approval a few weeks ago and I have travelled after for a month and came back just last week. The passport control officer just asked me about the country I came from and then about how the weather was where I was then proceeded to joke about how the whether is shit ...

Re: Returning to Ireland with IRP after receiving approval?

Your IRP card is valid until the expiry date or the date you become an Irish citizen, whichever is sooner. In theory, an IRP card should be cancelled on the day of your ceremony. However, that is simply impractical. I doubt if they cancel any existing IRP cards at all. You can travel with a valid I...

Re: Returning to Ireland with IRP after receiving approval?

Assuming your IRP is in date, you should be fine; airlines will just check the validity on the card itself and on Irish border I'd expect them to either just let you through or quiz you about the journey before doing so (and I hope you notified ISD about your absence if it was more than six weeks, ...

Re: E vetting and citizenship application

Have my E-vetting disclosure viewed today. I'm really hoping the approval will come quickly. I hadn't heard anything from them since March 2021 then all of a sudden things are moving fast. Hope it will keep up this way. Looks like evetting is taking 9-10 working days to be completed. Here's my timel...

Any Idea on how long it takes between the E-Vetting Permission Letter & the email.

I submitted the letter on the 1st of July, and no email yet.
I posted my permission letter on July 8 and got the email today. Wasn't expecting it so soon as seen others taking much longer.

As far as I know you'll need to list all your previous addresses, so having them handy might be useful.
Here's this guide but I'm unsure about how up to date it is: https://vetting.garda.ie/Content/UserGu ... rGuide.pdf
Cheers for the link. Will check it out.

2020 Citizenship Application not received eVetting request - while 2021 applications are receiving

Hi all, I applied for citizenship in Nov 2020 and other than initial communication for more information in early 2021, I have not heard anything from the team. Not even eVetting request. I now see that 2021 applications are receiving eVetting requests and I'm wondering if any other 2020 applications...
