Re: Hi Aylee

It would not hurt if you submit the IELTS but 6 yrs old one will not be valid. You should do the following: 1) Send you Kolkata degree to NARIC which would confirm that it is acceptable to UK Degrees. Otherwise, the Tier 1 people might say that there is no proof that your degree is up to the level o...

Re: My Tier 1 REJECTED

Hi Ayleee, I am 1000% sure this Tier-1 thing is a pure business oriented money making idea. Otherwise, how will they sponsor the London Olympics :) They clearly told me that for no application they would contact the applicant to provide additional documentation. They will simply send a rejection let...

Guys, As I said I applied on 13th March and got a reference number on 19th. What the Home Office people told me was that if your application is to be rejected by a case worker, you will hear the news faster. So all those guys who applied before me or around the same time as me and if you have not he...

My Tier 1 REJECTED

Re: Can u switich to Tier 1 away early before your FLR expir

The Home Office calls it Switching :) Please post if you applied foe FLR under Tier 1 .. if you applied early (more than few months) o...

Re: Tier 1 application - what documents did you submit?

Hi Skris, The documents you stated look enough. If you can get a letter from your employer also certifying your income that would help (though not compulsory). DONT FORGET TO WRITE RESPECTIVE NAMES BEHIND THE PHOTOS :) For Maintanence, you can show any personal account (savings or current) which can...

Re: Any Tier-1 (General) new applicants??

Hi Guys,
Received my reference number today by post. One step closer now. In the letter they say "The processing time is approximately 28 days. Do not contact the office before that time for status enquiry".

I hope the decisions are taken much earlier than that. But lets wait and see!

Cheers

Re: WP to Tier1 within UK

Hi WP2tier1, I see that they have deducted the money from my Credit Card today. So payment went through. Now am just waiting for them to decide. Regarding your question, you have to send your original passport with the application. I think an expired passport might be a problem (though I am not sure...
