I understand that part - so is the date of someone becoming a british citizen the date of their ceremony then? And then the certificate has the date of the ceremony?

What is the date of naturalisation of British Citizenship? Is it the date of the approval from UKVI or the date of your citizenship ceremony?

2. Do I need to provide any extra information to explain why it is 474 days? The guidance is guidance, even though they say 480 days is disregarded best to include a note as to the reasons why you are over. Just a bullet point explanation, nothing convoluted.
