Further to my witness question further up the thread:

I asked the same question to the live chat. They said to get another form and get a police officer to sign as if they miss the witness they'll request another form with other witness details.

What occupation were your witnesses?

Applying for my 1st passport and have applied online. At the stage to send of verification documents but wondering about at whatvstage they call the witness. Mine is a teacher who is now on holiday for the summer until the 15th Augist. Don't want to send docs off too early so that they miss the call...
