I got my decision mail yesterday (22nd July) and I appeared for biometrics on 9th July. So, it was on 10th working day in the end.

No updates so far. My consultant (acting on behalf of new employer) have said they contact home office today.

I submitted my application (fingerprints etc) on 9th July priority service

For the escalation route pointed by bhushanpradhan earlier in the chat, I think it is disabled now. We get an automated reply saying experience in delay etc (for in country) and then call disconnects. Has anyone able to get past this?

What does it mean? BRP is must for starting working with new employer? Right to work might require BRP or equivalent document (passport) to provide eligibility I think?
