Re: British Citizenship cancelled old expired password

My last question is: I obtained settled status on May 2019. 5 years of lawful residence has passed since then. I need to wait 1 more year because one requirement for British citizenship is 5 years of continuous residence and 12 months after obtained settled status. So total 5+1 years. Thank you all...

Re: British Citizenship cancelled old expired password

Unless you violated immigration law in the last 10 years, you most likely already were. Anyhow, you have reached that further assurance now so you can go ahead and apply.

Re: Life in the UK

Dear Sir/Madam, Yesterday I heard from someone about Life in the UK test to do every British Citizen those who naturalized in UK do test after every 5 years. Is that true or just fake news. Kind Regards Absolutely not. Life in the UK test is valid for life anyway. What would they do, kick people ou...

Re: Help with Child's Eligibility for British Passport and Required Documents After ILR Approval

You should open your own thread to ask questions. A valid passport is not required to apply for citizenship though your child won't be able to travel without one. Strongly advise not to make travel plans until your daughter gets approval if you don't want to apply for a Pakistani passport for her. R...

No need to prove your address. If this concerns you you can just elaborate in a cover note. Letters from employers confirming the dates you were employed are also accepted in lieu of P60s.

Re: Good character requirements

If I don’t find a suitable date for the biometric appointment can I come back and book this as at a later date or do I have to book it straightaway after completing the application form? And once the biometric appointment is booked, can I change it or is it best not to change it? And other than my ...

Re: British Citizenship cancelled old expired password

Applicants have various reasons not to apply for citizenship straight away, it is not compulsory to become a citizen to stay in the UK once one has ILR. I personally apply the day after I became eligible but everyone is different.

All those are only "if known" - won't affect your statutory requirements. Input all the details you know and you can explain in a cover note you can't recall all details of older applications.

Re: Naturalisation questions - Married to British citizen

Hi, Thank you so much for your reply. You made it sound quite simple, so I'm already stressing out less about it. Just regarding the proof of British citizenship, would the first page of his British passport be enough? If he naturalised, you need to submit his naturalisation certificate, else biome...

Re: Naturalisation questions - Married to British citizen

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. Next month I'll be applying for the ILR and I hope to use the super priority service, so I can get an answer very soon. Is it okay to use the same documents I used for the ILR for the naturalisation? My main concern is most are dated the end of May. And I'll apply ...

As you are a Director, select that option. Employment is not a statutory requirement for naturalisation. If you want, you can elaborate further on the fact you are a director in a cover note.

Re: Should I renew my ILR pending outcome of Naturalisation

You have set up an eVisa account. That is what you will use from now on to prove your status. Keep your BRP card for your records bit it will no longer be needed to prove your immigration status.

Re: British Citizenship/Naturalisation Documents

If you want to be on the extra safe side, you may consider sitting for the exam again. You could also retrieve your ILR application as you will have probably submitted a reference number there - or do a SAR and see if details are quoted there. We don't have templates for cover letters.

I would let the council know you haven't received your email yet. Do chase again this week and take the lead from me council. I'd also urgently raise this with your MP as it's quite delayed. Do check your spam/junk folders.

Re: British partner. Pre-settled staus to settled status

I wouldn't know this in detail, but if you know the relationship broke down and knowingly didn't inform the HO to get settled status, it may sound like you are hiding the truth to break immigration law.
