Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Well I am tired of this whole process that took more than 2 years for me. I don't get any benefit of reaching out to the TD at this stage. I'll wait 2 more weeks. (actually this delay created huge problem for me, I'm leaving Ireland for 6 months by end of next week, I was expecting to have it before...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

I just got exactly same email now, they don't accept the certified copy of the certificate at the moment due to internal processes and they offer two options, waiting till they improve the processes or sending the original certificate.

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Replying this under passport discussion topic. This is completely weird, the email clearly states this; Applicant's Naturalisation certificate (we will also accept a colour copy of Naturalisation Certificate, certified as a true copy of the original by a solicitor or notary public) I also applied on...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

To those lucky ones that have received citizenship certificates, what is the date on the certificate? Does it match with the ceremony date that you attended, or is it more aligned with when you received it? It will be interesting to know if those awaiting their certificates are counted as Irish cit...

Re: Upcoming Ceremony in 2023

This is very helpful, 2 questions regarding this; - Is original passport mandatory? Application cover page says it is not, confirmation email says it is :). Also the webpage says it is not mandatory if you send the copy of PSC card. (I cannot send my passport, I have mandatory trips in August and S...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

I got my certificate today as well, after 6 weeks, it is dated 9th of July tho, however another friend who got it last week had a certificate dated 11th of July. There is definitely a operational problem there.. Lads...it happened...postman just rang the bell. Wasn't the usual fella that comes aroun...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

I've sent probably 3 emails because I was desperate. No replies. I explained my situation that I was accepted a short term program but they were asking for an evidence of being a EU citizen. I couldn't provide it on time and I missed the chance. Last 2 weeks I tried all emails that I could find on t...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

They could even be sending out the certificates in small batches slowly and deliberately so as not to overwhelm the passport office with ~5000 applications in one go? Could be possible? I don’t think it is the case, in December 3000 people got their certificates right after the ceremony abd that di...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

The complaints about these certificates is wild, you waited 2 years for you application to be sorted , be grateful that u been granted the thing .. I'm sure u can wait a month or two for the certificate.. Sending emails to ask where your certificate is is giving someone more work just to reply to y...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Question that that most likely has already been addressed... Anyone know why they switched from certs at ceremony to posting them "sometime" afterward? I was thinking by not printing all certs beforehand it allows them more flexibility and time to to invite approved applications to the ceremony? No...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

Everyone agrees that it is a privilege, however questioning the process is definitely our right. I have right to compare the process with Germany, UK, Netherlands, US processes. Also I live in this country not because of the citizenship, I love this country. I had chances to live in the countries th...

Re: Naturalisation certificate post ceremony timeframe

As a 2021 applicant, I think everyone has rights to complain, and to be honest, this should push the department for getting proper actions for the improvements. Regardless of when the applicant's application date is, waiting for the certificate for long is a problem. They should have stated that pro...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I've been wondering about the current citizenship status of individuals who attended the citizenship ceremony in June but have yet to receive their certificates. Can we consider them official citizens already? Based on the "Irish Nationality and Citizenship Act, 1956," I'm inclined to think not. He...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I wasn't aware of this, thanks for the clarification. It is appreciated. Now, tbh, it is more concerning (what I mean, it might take a couple of months) for us who attended the last ceremony, it seems like the speed is very slow. I haven't seen anyone who I know personally (at least 10 people) and g...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2021 Pending Approval

I don't know why sending the certificates takes so long, I attended the ceremony on 20th June, some friends attended on 19th June are also waiting for their certificates. I am afraid it will take much longer P.S. I just marked the 2 year time after application, that makes it a little unfair to see l...

Re: Evetting in progress- now a victim of online scam? will complaining to Garda impact my naturalisation

First of all, sorry to hear that, I hope you will get your money back.

I also had a complaint to garda due to an incident (some people attacked me at night in 2022) and it didn't create any problem on evetting process, it was completed without any issues. So don't worry about reaching out to garda

Is there anyone who got invitation for 20th June? My citizenship fee (950 Eur) was processed on 15th May and I am kinda losing hope for June ceremony, although I was really positive before. Do you think there will be more invitations for the June ceremony?

Re: 2023 Naturalisation Applications Approved??

Hope is really not working anymore. My recommendation to all 2021 applicants at least is to go for judicial review because that's the only thing that actually works. TDs are theirs (as in FG, FG) so no point writing to them, media is in their pockets, social media is just noise. Spend a little bit ...
