Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi all! I am going to soon be posting my Dad’s passport application (it will be his first Irish passport and we are applying from the UK). Are we able to send this tracked by Royal Mail now or is it recommended to send another way? Apologies – I appreciate this isn’t exactly a FBR question (still wa...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi All, New to the forum as I have a question about the FBR. I'm applying for Irish Citizenship through my Irish Grandfather and was wondering: do I have to include his marriage certificate? The FBR Application Form states that it wants a marriage certificate if the person in question was married y...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi all! I am probably worrying for no reason but have just had a look at the documents I sent and noticed there is a slight discrepancy. On my Irish grandma’s birth certificate, it says her mother’s name was Maggie whereas on the marriage certificate it says Margaret. All other details seem to match...

Probably an impossible question to answer but... I am a Sept 22 applicant - what are the predications that I will hear back sometime next year? I know the waiting time is still 2 years officially but I have seen lots of 2021 applications receive address confirmation/congratulations email. I know the...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Very encouraging they have jumped from Feb/March 2020 to May 2020 in the space of a a couple of weeks... I do wonder how many people applied during lockdown days? When did they properly reopen? The bulk in Feb and March 2020 seems to almost be over. Yay! I have a long long wait though (Sept 2022.......
